"Chaos is a necessary piece of order."

Victor Volodimire Bluht Blood

26 | Scorpio ☼ | Witch/Vampire | CEO of Blood Corp | New York | Bisexual | Single

 ✫ ✫ ✫

Personality

Can someone have a crippling hero and God complex while still being a self loathing depressive? Victor will make you ask all those questions and more. He can be cold, dismissive and rude, but he cares almost too much about the people around him. He often goes far out of his way for supernatural folk generally, even more so if he cares, but he prefers to keep sentimentality to a minimum and often treats life as if it is a business transaction. He is incredibly intelligent and masterful in many arts but his self doubt and loathing often holds him back. Victor is desperate to be seen and make a connection, but nearly incapable of reaching that state of trust with the people around him- in his eyes people use you or they leave. Usually both.

Powers

Obscene wealth: more money than any god would know what to do with

Shadow manipulation: manifestations through dark matter

Incantation Magic: learned spells of many varieties, limited only by knowledge and learnedness

Apparition: teleporting short distances

Angurvadal: 'sword of anguish' is inscribed with Runic letters which blaze in times of war, but only gleames with a dim light in times of peace. Summoned by magic at will.

Vampirism: Victor does not see himself as a vampire and dedicates quite a few of his resources to attempt to 'cure' his 'condition'. The current suppression pills he is testing on himself limit his needs for blood, as well as any healing or strength derived from the vampirism. He does need blood, but not nearly as often and avoids feeding from people all together, seeing it as a intimate and frightful act.

 History

Victor was born into blood, taking his mothers life with the start of his own on a chilly November evening. His father, a German immigrant and cold hearted businessman, never let him live this down, blaming his son for the loss of the woman he loved, he swore her sacrifice would not be in vain- Victor would be useful. Victor was raised by nannies and tutors the finest money could afford.

After all, the Bluht name came with wealth of its own, but upon leaving the failing German empire Stefen Hans Bluht wanted to better fit in and succeed in the American market, he had hidden away his lineage in favor of what he felt was a much more eye catching english word: Blood
A new empire, in his mind, and an empire he did build with a ferocity which earned its name- one he intended wholeheartedly for Victor to take over. He ‘prepared’ his son mercilessly, forcing schooling far beyond his grade, studying most of his childhood away.

Victor avoided him, and avoided angering him by any means possible, but the anger his father felt for him was unrelenting and often crossed the line into horrific abuse of unspeakable varieties, actions Stefen excused under the guise of building a warrior, a machine of impervious callus.

Perhaps he would have succeeded in building his monster if Victor had not found magick.

He was eight the first time he tried to make contact with his deceased mother, and though he was not allowed many hobbies and spent some of his later years in boarding schools he managed to hide the new world from his father. He managed to not only grow in it, but flourish. By sixteen he had made a provisional deal with a daemon Agremon. He would serve as a vessel for nearly three years, reaping the benefit of demonic power while paying its steep price.

He graduated with his first bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, not even this bringing pride to his fathers eyes despite Victor’s obvious genius.

When Victor was sure he had secured his stakes in his fathers company he killed him, only a few months after his eighteenth birthday- becoming the youngest, wealthiest, CEO in history, overnight.

The board of directors nearly revolted, the investors pulled out in mass, but before his twentieth birthday he had doubled profit margins, developing multiple patents of his own design which restored interest from investors.

He became a celebrity, but he felt just as alone as ever.

So he ran away, the only way he had ever known how to in the past, Magick.

He experimented with drugs and drank himself into blackouts, but eventually Victor found community in a space beyond the realms of time, in a pocket dimension full of misfits like him. He joined a cultish military order, built around a egregore being, which helped free him of his demonic contract in trade of a new one. With this one he was given responsibility and power which he did not want to fumble, his desire to impress overwhelming.
But a young man of little wisdom and love, and far too much knowledge and power, he fell victim to manipulation, fell in love with an older man, a superior officer.

10536087268?profile=RESIZE_400x

He lost his position, and the only family he had ever known- nursing those wounds he returned to New York in order to run his own neglected empire in earnest.

A few months upon returning Victor discovered two things: new love for an exceptionally normal man of his own age, Maxwell; and a brother, Jonathan.

His father had a second family, one he had apparently quite cherished- but after the untimely death of the boy's mother his only blood relative was Victor… much to the young witches surprise.

For a few years things were good.

Victor played family and business man by day, and Master of the Dark Arts by night.

He opened the Covenstead Cabaret, a magical lounge, in the undergrounds of his newly erected Serenity Tower- a beacon of green energy and mind bending architecture built around the concept of bringing nature to the city. He started the Major Arcana, a group of young supernatural being whose primary mission was to help displaced youth of their kind and fight off those who wished to cause harm.
He built his empire of magic attop his fathers own empire of blood, he used the darkness of his past to fuel new initiatives, first in New York, then beyond.
But things are rarely good for long, an attempt on Victor’s life left him so close to death that his partner begged one of the Vampires they knew to change him, sure the only recourse for his state was such a drastic measure.

Vampirism was not an affliction which Victor took to with any joy, and it put a horrific strain on his relationship with his partner.

As they danced closer to their wedding date, Victor found more and more that he felt like an imposter- pretending to be a hero, a leader. He had a family, he was to have a husband, he led a team of supernatural beings who trusted him and his company practically ran itself at this point. And yet he felt Max only cared for the hero he expected Victor to be, an image he could never uphold.

Victor was already unsure and isolating when his old superior officer resurfaced, he accepted his offer for drinks-  part of Victor wonders still if he knew what it would lead to..

How one drink would lead to two, how he would be encouraged to vent, told he was right, Max took advantage of him, Max wanted him to be something he wasn’t…

But being with his ex-superior didn’t quell those doubts and fears, only sowed them.

With the sanctity of trust lost his partner left him, something which drove an inevitable wedge between Victor and his brother, who had taken to the much more motherly and nurturing Maxwell.

In the aftermath Victor dedicated to his mission of building his empire, in the way he knew was best, and curing himself of what he felt like was a disease.

Currently

Victor lives in New York, in a penthouse in Serenity Tower, he runs his Biomedical Engineering company, and the Major Arcana; a group of otherbeings who help Victor to run his missions and reach his visions.

Victor wants to unite the human and supernatural world, but realizes such a lofty goal can not be reached until there is structure to Otherbeing societies. Victor hopes by replicating Serenity in major cities across the world he can begin to build some foundations to a global community for Non-human kind, in the hopes of bringing them from the broom closet.

This manifests in a lot of charity work on Victor's part, he seems to adore collecting strays and giving them homes in his tower. He rarely expects return, often he sets up Otherbeings for free, helping them to intigrated into human society better so they feel less of a need to harm people or themselves.

Some are offered jobs with him, others are set up for success and end up leaving, some of those that he becomes closest with become inducted into the Major Arcana.

  • Casey frowned at the two of them, but continued to walk with them to wherever they were taking her. She saw the building they were approaching and was perplexed by it. It looked totally out of place in the middle of the city, nature and tranquility oozing off of the building so much so that it seemed fake, like a mirage in the desert. How did someone even get this building approved to be built in New York City of all places?

Whatever the case, Casey was a bit glad they were going there. It looked nice on the outside at least, hopefully it was just as full of nature on the inside. Maybe that was the animal part of her, wanting to be in the woods more than the city. She tensed when Iain touched her again, but didn't make a mention of it. Seemed like the guy was just touchy, he didn't mean anything by it, but it still made her uncomfortable.

"Casey." She answered, quietly. It wasn't often she spoke her own name, but it was nice to hear it sometimes. She intentionally told as few people as possible--she probably should have given herself a new name after she ran away, but Casey felt like it was hers, she didn't have anything else from her...past life to bring with her but her name. "No reason. Just passing through." Not totally the truth, as she had come here in hopes of finding more food, more shelter as it got later in the year, but Casey didn't want to say that. And, now that she knew that she actually quite disliked the city, she was planning on leaving. Another winter in the woods wouldn't hurt her, she just needed to travel more south so avoid as much snow as possible.

Casey took a few deep breaths, looking up at the tree-covered building as they got ever nearer. She removed the bandanna from her cheek, wiping away the last of the blood as it stopped bleeding. Purple spots in the shape of fingers were starting to appear on her chin, throat, and wrists from being held so tightly, but she hardly felt those. Bruises and scraps were nothing new, they'd likely be gone by tomorrow anyways.

  • When Iain and Azreal let go of her, even though their holds had been gentle and non-threatening, Casey let out a shaky breath she didn't know she had been holding. Immediately, she curled in on herself, wrapping her arms around her torso and hugging herself, as if trying to make herself seem smaller. She took the bandanna from Iain reluctantly, but laid it on her cheek with a small wince. It wasn't a bad cut, but it stung, and cuts on ones face tended to bleed a lot.

It got quieter, as the traffic got less congested, and though it wasn't much quieter it still helped Casey calm down a fraction. She just wanted to curl up somewhere quiet, alone, far away from anyone else. If it wasn't abundantly clear already, she didn't like being around people. Especially strangers. Though, she didn't have any friends or family, so everyone was a stranger.

"I-I...yeah, I was eating when they--" She didn't want to finish that sentence, and she didn't need to. An involuntary shiver went up her spine. It hadn't been the first time she was assaulted in an alley, though thankfully this encounter had ended differently. "Most of...us?" Iain and Azreal looked normal, human, but then again so did Casey. But she was starting to doubt that they were, which just gave her more questions and a touch more fear. She hadn't met someone like her before, unless you count the two assholes in the alley, though they were clearly something else.

"I'm not injured." She responded quickly, automatically, despite the fact that she was still holding the bandanna to her face. Casey looked at Azreal, then Iain, and back again. They looked honest, they didn't like like they wanted to hurt her. She was still scared, but...she wanted to know what these people were. If they were actually like her. Maybe they could give her some answers as to why she was the way she was. She couldn't pass up the opportunity, no matter how nerve wracking it was.

Slowly, Casey nodded her consent. "Okay...Where are we going?"

  • Casey was surprised as well to hear someone else, her face looking the opposite direction to the entrance of the alley from where it was pinned against the brick wall. She wasn't sure if anyone was going to actually come help her, if she had been loud enough for the people on the street to hear her over the commotion of the city. But someone was here--actually two someone's, if she focused she could hear a second pair of footsteps approaching behind the heavily accented man. But, but what if her two attackers were going to hurt her two saviors now? They were so strong, if they could stop Casey so easily they could totally take care of a human or two no problem.

The following few moments were a confusing rush, so mich happening too quickly for her panicked mind to keep up with. She heard someone get punched, and she was let go, and being grabbed again--though much more gently--and led away, names were mentioned that she didn't recognize, and then she was back on the street, a woman and a man on either side of her. Casey flinched when Iain put his hand on her shoulder, moving slightly closer to Azreal, before that also seemed like a bad idea and she moved away from Azreal as well. Her hands were shaking, her left cheek bleeding from where the wall had scraped it, and she was breathing rapidly and shallow. Though she was thankful to be away from the men in the alley, she was still with two strangers, who were touching her, which was still somewhere she didn't want to be.

"W-who are you?" Casey asked, either of them, both of them. It was the first thing her frazzled mind could come up with asking. "I-I don't, new? Who were--?" She stuttered, struggling to form a proper sentence. Green eyes darted between Azreal and Iain, fear still as clearly painted on her features as they were in the alley even as they got further and further away from it.

  • New York City was, unsurprisingly, loud. Too loud for Casey's liking, but she was already here. Every car that honked or engine that sputtered, every bell ringing or person shouting, made Casey flinch until her shoulders were basically always tense. She probably wouldn't have enjoyed walking around the city if her ears were human, but it was even worse when everything was louder, more detailed. There was a man yelling at someone over the phone across the street, and though the person walking next to her didn't seem to care, Casey could hear what the man was saying clear as day as if she was standing right next to him.

Not only was the city loud, but it reeked. It smelled like exhaust fumes and rotting food and sewer gas. It actually did a lot to stave off Casey's hunger, even the smell of good food was covered up by the scent of the garbage cans next to the food vender. Though, just because she wasn't feeling as hungry, didn't mean she didn't needed to eat. Nope, still needed to do that. There was no way Casey was a healthy weight, she knew that. The features on her face were sharper than they should be, and if you could see under the two jackets, a sweater, and a pair of loose jeans, you could just about count her ribs. It was hard to tell how old she was, the unnatural sharpness to her features led her to look several years older than her actual age of 22. Though Casey still felt like she ate enough, she ate as much as she had when she was normal, if not more than that. But however her body worked now, it needed more food for her. Too bad she hardly had enough money to buy herself something from one of the many, many restaurants and food trucks and street stalls and--damnit, it was a bad idea to come here.

Casey thinks she's in Manhattan, but she's not totally sure. She's never been in the city before and wasn't looking at a map to guide her wandering. Finally, she found a little food stall that was selling some sort of sub sandwich for pretty cheap, and Casey ordered whatever the person in front of her had, paid, and left. Didn't really matter to her what was on it--it was a decent amount of food, didn't smell spoiled, and she was going to eat it. She wandered for a few more minutes before ducking into an alley that was mostly empty and thankfully wasn't behind a restaurant so the rotting food smell was low and manageable. It was funny how she found comfort in alleys more than on the street. It was quieter, people weren't so close they were bumping into her, and she had some tome by herself to rest and eat before continuing to wander.

Crouching down with her back leaning against the wall and resting her bottom on the heels of her shoes (so she wasn't actually sitting on the ground, ew), Casey unwrapped her sandwich and tucked in. Even though no one was watching her, she still ate as neatly as she could to avoid making a mess of herself. However, Casey was being watched, and approached, and suddenly, grabbed.

"Hey! Fuck off!" She shouted before seeing who her attacker was. Or, attackers. There were two men in front of her, dark hair and dark eyes and pale skin, like they didn't spend enough time outside. The one on her left was wearing a dark blue shirt, the other black, but that didn't really matter. What did matter was that Blue Shirt was holding her wrist painfully tight. Panic started to rise in her throat, making her freeze instead of fight. Both the men smirked.

"Well, what do we have here?" Black Shirt said, reaching forward to run his fingers down Casey's dirty cheek. She flinched back, but his fingers gripped her chin to keep her from moving. He held her so tightly, she's sure she would have bruises. "Smells like...shifter? Canine? Tell me I'm right, my dear." His breath was cold as he spoke close to her face, and Casey started shaking slightly. These men weren't human, were they? There had to be other people like Casey out there, she couldn't be the only  one, but these two...What were they?

"Aw, she's so scared, can't even talk. What's the matter, cat got your tongue?" Blue shirt laughed, bringing her wrist up to his face. He inhaled against in skin before making a face. "Fuck, if she wasn't covered in so much grime it'd be easier to tell. Smells like a dog pissed on her." Casey would have been highly offended by that if she wasn't struggling to keep herself focused. Right, focus. Okay, these men were strong but so was she, and she had a free hand that wasn't restrained. Acting without much thought, she punched Black Shirt in the neck with as much might as she could muster. He coughed, chocking for breath as his hand fell away from her face and to his own throat.

Blue Shirt was faster, though, too fast, and before Casey could get a swing on him he had her spun around and face pressed against the wall, both wrists held behind her back. Her face was pressed into the stone wall so hard she felt skin break, blood running down her cheek. "Damnit, bitch. We were planning on going easy on you, but I guess not." Blue Shirt hissed, looking to Black Shirt as he recovered from the throat punch. "Help! Someone help!" Casey screamed, but her mouth was covered immediately after. She started struggling, but the man was too strong. She usually would be able to take out a man his size but something was different about him, about both of them. They weren't human, and they were stronger than her.

Definitely shouldn't have gone to New York.

  • ||Alright, sound good! I'll finish up the starter and send it you way soon.||

  • ||Sure, that can work. I started working on a simple starter but I can definitely add a character or two to put Casey in danger before someone helpful comes her way. Is there anything else you can think of adding right now?||

  • ||New York works just fine. Casey basically walks around the whole country, half the time not even knowing what state she's in. But she could definitely make her way to New York, thinking it might be easier to find food there.||

  • (I will be on vacation this week. But when I return I will give you look over again and see what would work for a plot. :)  )

  • ||I would indeed like to write! Casey is a lost soul in the supernatural world, homeless and scared of herself because of what she is. I think her and Victor would work nicely together.||

  • ||Hello hello! Thank you for accepting the request.||
