Ghastly is five feet tall, has a small frame and an athletic build. Her skin is an ashy off white color and under certain lights is almost translucent in places. While almost always noticably damp, a much more noticeable feature is that from the tips of her digits till about mid-palm, Ghastlys skin is a charcoal shade. Looking almost as if she dipped them into a bucket of paint and tried very poorly to wash it away.
Ghastlys hair is a black mess that is often unkempt, damp, and dirty. When maintained it falls around mid back and has a silk like texture, comparable almost to spilled ink.
However, Ghastlys most prominent feature would be the five additional eyes she has. Two typically placed eyes, two smaller in size, under the typical set and off to the side. A third eye placed precisely as it should be with the final two, the smallest set, sitting just over the eyebrows offset near her temples. All five additional eyes are entirely black, the pupil encompassing the entire surface. They typical humanoid set however differ only by the two vibrant white rings thay define the pupil from the iris and the iris from the sclera.

Ghastly is usually of an even temperament. Reasonable and open to new points of view, she retains an emense amount of her humanity despite the disastrous change.
Ghastly however, is also rather known for her meschevious behavior and for having a rather smart mouth. One that she rather enjoys running until it brings trouble into her life. She can be unnecessarily crule without reason but has moments of compassion.
Typically how she interacts with you will depend entirely on previous interactions, the things she's heard, and how you conduct yourself around her. To some she is endearing, sweet, and almost charming. To others she is nothing more than a foul, acid spitting, ceiling crawler.

Ghastly is thankfully fairly receptive to new things and has many more likes than she does dislikes and it often does more good to know what will aggitate her than please her.

Weather - Heat, anything over 100 is a sure-fire promise that Ghastly will be remaining indoors.
Behaviors - Being Startled/Spooked/Scared | Screaming | Really anything that causes a loud ruckus.
Animals - Birds
Ghastly has very specific dislikes and will be quick to inform you that you've found a nerve. Tho- she has never been known to offer more than just a single warning before incidents essculate.
Calling Ghastly a 'Spider' is not a compliment and is a really good way to get bit.

"The only thing you need to know is the sunglasses I wear are what provides my glamour."
Ghastly keeps her inventory to herself, it serves better to surprise people with what she might be carrying than it does to reveal what's in her pockets. However the sunglasses resting on her face would be pretty tricky to conceal. Removing the sunglasses lowers the illusion that Ghastly takes on in public spaces when she doesn't want to be perticularly bothered by anyone.

Inhuman Superiority
- As to be expected, Ghastly has gained inhuman superiority. Her senses heightened dramatically and her strength has grown to impossible standards.
- When morping Ghastly gains another boost to her strength as her muscels rearange themseleves to acomidate for the extra limbs she can grow.
"Shadow Walking"
- If there is a shadow, Ghastly can climb inside of it. Granted, she is not as well practicied as her compnaion Ink, but their favorite party trick is sticking her arm through a wall when both rooms are dark.
- It should be noted that shining a direct light onto the shadow Ghastly is inhabiting or passing through can cause the monstrous woman emense pain but it has not been tested whether or not it could kill her. Most incidents end with the companion Ink presenting itself to create a new shadow for Ghastly. In one particuarlly nasty incident Ink actually encased Ghastly and the observing organization found themselves a few reaserchers short of what they had before the incident.
"Duane" Vision
- This is an incredibly rare human condition where the eyes look in different directions and it should be noted that Ghastly did not have this condition before the change. Ghastlys other five spider-like eyes area always looking in different directions, feeding Ghastlys brain any information their forward facing set may miss. This makes sneaking up on her and surprise attacks practically impossible as her only real blindspot would be from behind.
"Spider Like Ablities"
- Venom
- At her discretion Ghastly can 'grow' a chelicerae of sorts. Her upper lip splits entirely up to the nose as the longer appendages force out several teeth to grow into her mouth. Using them is extreamly unnatural to Ghastly and is both grotesque and painful, however they can come in clutch when in a life or death situation. Typically the morphing of her mouth is enough to scare her attacker away, but on the off chance it isn't, Ghastly -much like venemous spider- can and has injected people with a mixture of a more concentrated version of her acid spit and a neurotoxin designed to paralyze the victim.
- Wall/Ceiling Crawling
- You'd think the chelicerae would be the reason people often refer to Ghastly as a spider, something that has her selectiving violence on the regular, but it isn't. Ghastly has very small hairs that now coat her entire body, they - you guessed it - let her climb, lay, and otherwise atatch herself to surfaces other than the floor. She often refrains from using this skill due to her rather knee-jerk reaction to being called "Spiderman." by children.
- Multi-Limb
- Ghastly can grow four extra, arms. Thats it, thats the skill. It is exrteamly painful for her as it causes her to grow all over- you think growing pains sucks when you're young, imagine it all happening at once and over a five minute span of time. Ghastlys bones, muscels, and organs have to grow and readjust themseleves to acomidate the height required to house six arms. At that stage Ghastly is nearly nine and a half feet tall and is often more monster than person by that point.
Acid Spit
- Ghastlys saliva is similar to ink, watery and black, typically it is harmless, but at her discretion Ghastly will release digestive enzymes from the back of her throat and as it dilutes in her saliva her spit becomes accidic and even cappable of burning through steel with long enough exsposure.
- Ghastly is prone to drooling, espeically when hungry, excited, or enraged so she keeps a rag on hand at all times.

A Ghastly Thing

Exhaling roughly with a groan, Ghastly kicked yet another charcoal smeared throw pillow further into the basements shadows, "I really wish you wouldn't do things like this Ink." Tensions had been running high during the busy workweek, but the little twerp wasn't about to escape bath time. "Listen," withdrawing her hands from the warmth of her fuzzy pajama pants and raising them palm out to the darkness, the monstrous woman continued with an accented eyeroll, "I know you aren't a fan of the water but you smell like," she paused, "-like the remains of that tomato I found you trying to cram into your mouth last week."
It had been barely six months and the mid-twenties woman was only just slightly more prepared to raise what she had started affectionatly refering to as 'Ink'- the sillouetteesque creature having mysteriously replaced her shadow one morning. They never said anything but they were a massive fan of fruit and, to Ghastlys thinning patience, also apparently deathly afraid of water.
"Okay, how about this, get in the bath," the responsonding rumble from the darkness resulted in another eyeroll from Ghastly, "and I will let you get the big bag of oranges from the mini-mart."

I'm doing my absolute best to grow as a writer and as a writing partner seeking out more active building where I don't spend all of my time in control of the story and its flow.

I have around 8 years of experience, if you don’t count all of the breaks I've taken away from this passion, and personally consider myself to be talented- though I am sure there are a few who would disagree.
I strictly write in third person, any other pov messes with my writing style and can cause a super weird rhyming thing to happen and it doesn’t make for good story telling. I can, however, get- wordy – when playing multiple characters at a time.
If you don’t like to read, you won’t like me.
I work a full time job and it gets in the way of my passion, so you will have to forgive the wait between responses as I atempt to craft the best responses I can for you.
I also live a 'full time' life with a dog that needs my attention and cats that are also rather affectionate and needy too. However, I am doing everything I can to make time for my favorite hobby.
I enjoy reading and watching cartoons, but my favorite thing to do is listen to music and just relax in a dark room. That is when I'm not stressing myself over all the new ideas that are buzzing around in my head.
Now that I'm done babbling about myself I would really like to meet you, I don't like small talk so just come right to me with your ideas, talk to me like we've been friends for ages - as if there were no ice to break.
