  • "Oh! I see," Rey said with a slight laugh as she imagined what they were going to see once they arrived. Either way she did look forward to it, as she had never attended a real parade before. Rey didn't speak a word as they left in the transport. Her mind was busy with all sorts of wonderings and questions.

She almost didn't notice they had arrived at all until the doors opened and she was nearly blinded by the sunlight. The roar of the crowd was almost deafening and Rey placed a hand in front of her face to counteract the shining light. As she walked alongside Russ and stepped out of the transport, Rey's jaw dropped as she looked upon the sea of people stretching for miles. She had never seen anything like this, and doubted that she ever would again.

The city was absolutely beautiful, although Rey had been expecting this. It seemed that everywhere Russ had taken her so far was a stunning work of architecture and beauty. A smile began to spread across her face as they moved further down the street. She had no idea what to say, but simply smiled and gave a small wave whenever she made eye contact with someone.

When Rey saw Guilliman there was no doubt whatsoever that this was Russ's brother. He had the same presence and stature, and yet he definitely had a different energy. She looked to Russ and waited for him to address his brother.

  • Rey tossed and turned for a couple hours, struggling to get any proper rest. All she could really do was just lay there and think about everything that had happened so far, as well as anything that could happen in the future. She had never been certain about her future, but now more than ever she was feeling particularly unsure about what was going to happen next.

Sighing in defeat, she eventually gave up and got out of bed, wondering if a walk would do her well. She had not taken ten steps away from her door when she heard the announcement echo throughout the ship. Rey was glad they had finally arrived, now she could do something besides wait.

Rey decided to also make her way towards the bridge, as she guessed that is where Russ would be. For some reason, she felt slightly awkward as she walked up to him, as though she were greeting a distant acquintance. "Hello, Russ..." she said before glancing around the room at the officers and technology. "I'm guessing we'll be heading down soon?"

  • Rey couldn't deny that Russ had a point about that. She did speak her mind, especially when injustice was involved. Sometimes speaking the truth was the only way she could help people growing up on Jakku. She couldn't help but say something when a wrong was being committed.

She decided to listen to his advice and not say any more about the matter. Clearly she was not in a position to argue with him, even though a part of her wanted to. Clearly her attempts at humor hadn't worked, so she became modest and gave a slight nod of her head. "Alright...I'll see you later, then," she said rather quietly before turning around and heading back towards her room.

As she closed the door behind her, Rey gave a great sigh before walking over to her bed and sitting down. Although they had become close, it almost felt like there was a rift growing between her and Russ. Perhaps they were just too different to truly get along. Rey wasn't sure if she would be able to stop herself next time he said something she wholeheartedly disagreed with. She wondered if he felt the same.

Pushing these thoughts out of her mind, Rey took her boots off and laid down in the bed, closing her eyes and resting peacefully.

  • Russ's response was a bit surprising to Rey, as she didn't think there had been anything wrong with what she said. In her opinion, everyone is deserving of respect, regardless of who they're talking to. She was reminded yet again of just how different her world was from Russ's.

She also wasn't fond of the way Russ had referred to her as 'girl'. She had a name, and he knew what it was. "And what bad habits might those be?" she asked, genuinely curious as to what he might say. "But I see your point, Russ...your rules are different than ours. I'll do my best to follow them," she said, calming down a little bit.

His description of how one becomes ruler was interesting to say the least. Unsurprisingly, Rey had qualms about this as well. Why would a ruler be chosen by strength alone? There are other important qualities of a successful leader that have nothing to do with how strong they are in battle. Rey absolutely saw that in Leia.

"Well, I suppose that's good..." she said, thinking about what Russ said regarding Guilliman. "I don't think anyone dislikes me either," she said with a slight chuckle, feeling a joke was needed at this time.

  • As Russ spoke, Rey could see through one of the windows that a large shuttle was heading down towards the planet surface, containing Leia, Ben and a dozen Resistance fighters. She hoped that things would be okay, and that Leia would find a way to convince Ben to leave his dark past behind him.

"I suppose I'll see for myself, I always enjoy seeing a new world," Rey said with a slight smile before stumbling slightly as the ship took off. She was used to the jump to lightspeed, but she was somehow never prepared for it on this vessel. "Roboute, right? I'll be respectful as long as he is. I don't believe it's a one-way street," Rey said, crossing her arms and taking a couple steps towards the window.

  • "Ah, right," Rey said with a nod as she understood the entirety of what he meant. It had felt like so long since they had left the Rebel base, she had almost forgotten about it's existence. Upon hearing his next statement, Rey found herself confused but did not ask any further questions. She certainly didn't want to mess with these dark gods, whomever they were.

As she listened to Russ, it did almost seem like he cared for Ben. Or at least, cared for the effort that it took to bring him back to life. Rey gazed at the map in front of her with awe. It reminded her of some of the hologram maps she had seen thus far, except this one looked far more expansive. "What can I expect from Macragge? What kind of world is it?"

  • It took a surprising amount of strength to stay upright when Russ clapped her on the back. Rey was a bit startled but took it in good fun and laughed along with him.

When he said his next piece, Rey blinked and tilted her head. "You mean Ben? Remind me, who are we handing him over to?" she asked, slightly puzzled. "I think I saw Leia leave the cells, if that's what you mean," she said, knowing that Russ had seemed to distrust the General, or at least, distrust her when it came to how much she still cared for her son.

  • "You don't say..." Rey said with a couple surprised blinks before chuckling and placing a hand on her hip as he spoke. Even after all this time, it seemed there were still so many things she didn't know about him. No doubt she would learn even more once they reached this new world.

"You must've read my mind," she said with a slight smile. "I'm ready whenever you are, just say the word," she added, making sure she had everything she needed. Her lightsaber and blaster were strapped to her belt, and thanks to her nap from earlier, she was well rested and prepared for another journey.

  • Leia had given Rey permission to go with Russ, although by this point the young Jedi didn't need much in the way of approval before doing anything. She was trusted just as much as any high ranking officer.

Still, Rey wasn't sure if Russ would actually agree to her coming with him or not. But she figured it was worth asking. She walked into his conversation half-way through and caught only bits and pieces of it. When he was done and had cut off the transmission, Rey slowly walked over to him with a curious smile.

"What was that all about?" she asked inquisitively.

  • Rey's expression became concerned as she saw the Emperor succumb to pain ove rand over again. She didn't fully understand what was happening to him, but figured that he was using an awful lot of power to appear like  this.

Leia nodded when she was addressed. "I understand. Thank you, your highness..." she said with a slight bow that Rey mirrored as well. Both women gasped as the Emperor's image seemed to literally burn up into nothing but a pile of ash. They didn't know what to say to such a thing, so it was good that Russ spoke first.

While Leia would not have said it out loud, she didn't prefer the idea of taking Ben to a cell. Waking up in such a constrictive environment might cause him to become angry quicker than if he were to stay here. But she knew there was no point in arguing, so she and Rey helped move Ben to the cells with some help from a couple other crew members.

Once they were done and the cell was securely locked, Leia left to go rally support from her officers, and Rey went to go find Russ and see if she could join him on Macragge.
