Long before man has taken root to the world, there was a beast that lived in the depths of the world. Passing through realms that no deity would dare dwell. For it is the beasts domain, a beast that would feast upon anything that enters its depths. Its name was always changed for it has been among those that inhabited the world, a being that has lived longer than time itself, and its name was always feared by those that entered its depths. For those who will enter it, may never be seen again.
When the dawn of man arose, The Beast came out from the depths and gazed upon those new crations of God. He was not amused by these creatures and despised them as they took the image of the one who is bright. Its eyes would not dare to look for to long before taking the shape of one of them to observe their way of living. To no ones surprise it did not show any sign of interest with them, seeing man as a lesser species. He would lure in those to his depths only to eat them whole without care or merciful.
The names The beast ranged from were Rehab, Tiamat and Jormungandr but one which seemed to have stuck was one; The Leviathan. They named the Beast due to its cruel nature to devour all that enter its depths. They say that it threatened mankind and the world. They gave The Leviathan a title of the sin Envy for its nature of despising God's children. If it were true no one will know for no one would dare step into its depths.

As The Leviathans name continued to be spoken one who dared to stop its pursuit. A God known as Baal Hadad. A sky God that came down from the heavons who sliced the beast open and killed it. Or so the legend claim; but in truth he did defeat the Beast but was unable to kill it. He wasn't aware that it was only shedding its skin to lick its wounds in the realm that the childten of God calls Hell. It had went through the 9 rings, but stayed in one for he did not dare go into one that is cold and did not dare touch its icy heart. Its limbs can be seen in the 8 rings of Hell, still and blending waiting for the moment to resurface and devoure the world.

When Lucifer rebelled and fell with those that joined him they entered the the gates of Hell. There they found what seemed to be roots jutting out from its grimstone and rivers. Soon they begin to follow them as Lucifer led the way. They fought and bickered among themselves Some would stay in rings that suited them; others would fight for it to no end. But they continued forward groaning and dragging themselves forward through each ring. But soon they entered the eight ring, and that is when things changed.
The roots that they followed stopped, toward a mountaim, not inside the mountain but around it. Layomg its head on the top of the mountain was the Beast itself, asleep without a care in the world. The fallen Angels that joined Lucifer on this journey would not dare step further. But Lucifer continued forward along with his followers such a Paimon and Valac. They came to the beast and soon started to walk around it, but one seemed to admire the beast; and began to stare mucg longer than he should.
The Beast knew that they were there, he smelt them long before they arrived. But it was rather curious about what fools would stewp any closer to the Beast. It noticed Valec's gaze and seemed to be rather amused. As they passed it The Leviathan would give out a large roar which made the Eigth Ring shaken causing those to who did not join flee in terror hidding among the crevices. They claimed to serve Lucifer loyaly, but in truth they were all Frauds. Valec and Paimon moved forward with Lucifer reaching the one place that Leviathan would not dare go.
The Beast had laid dorment for many years that time seemed to have forgotten Its . It was long since it had seen the light of the sun. How it touched its scales. But It did not wish to leave its realm, until something beckoned it. It would open its eyes revealing a strange spirit that would appear to be in white and one who hasn't seemed to have crossed the rivers of Hell like any ordinary spirit. It was then The Leviathan realized it was a living mortal that entered its realm. It grew to be quite an interesting display one that it did not dare look away.
The spirit seemed to be the mortals guide as they made their way through the circle. It would soon notice that those that are damned were helping them out, except for the malebranche; nasty little criters who attacked them for a mistake they made on their own. When the spirit slid off the mountain that contained a boiling pit of Tar The Beast would lean forward aiming to eat them but instead caught the malebranche demons in its jaws causing it to swallow them whole. Seeing that it didn't obtain its desired target The Leviathan would merely glare at the spirit and mortal before returning to its slumber.

The time had came for the Leviathan to awaken, but it did not wish to be noticed. It did not want to make the mistake of revealing it self to early in case of any divine intervention. So It traveled above the Circles of Hell reaching the realm of the living. It moved through the waters the world sinking ships and boats along the way. It needed to feed, so it joined the children of god in a more representable form, a mortal taking the shape of the mortal he had saw long ago.
It toyed with the living, slowly bringing them to its sway. It brought in followers to serve it, to feed it. They sacrificed those that they deemed worthy to clench its hunger, and they were worthy, owe yes. The Leviathan was satisfied and continued to use his cult as it sees fit until the time comes, when he devours the world.
Those who were deemed worthy would gain titles that would be remembered throughout time. They were known as Priests of The Deep that would share Its power for its only purpose to feed it. Their only purpose is to gather unfortunate souls into its domain eat and eat until it is satisfied, which seemed to be endless. Those that it feeds off of will be consumed, but in the end they will suffer eternally inside its never ending stomach.

Yharnam was a lovely city that has always been part of the Victorian age. A metropolis that once lived near Paris, England and Europe. But they started to lose their way with the aid of the Church. Yharnam was renowned by their amazing remedy to a plague. Over the years many have gathered to learn the knowledge of their medicine, but none have returned.
One day the entire city suddenly vanished off the landmark replaced with nothing but the sea. But the one thing that was strange was that no one seemed to remember the City ever existed. As if it was never there in the first place, and those that knew those that went to search for the remedy could no longer recognize them nor who they were. On that day Yharnam was no more...but the truth was much darker than anything.
The City was ran by the church, they had a large control of the city and dabbled in blood. They used Blood Ministraions to try and become more than human. For a time it worked, but soon enough they began to become drunk and addicted to blood. Not just any blood...Old blood; Gods that no longer hold grip of the world; One of them was none other than The Leviathan himself. Using their blood as healing the price was soon noticed when they started to become monstrous beasts.
Seeing the error of their ways they did the one thing they do best at; cover it up and call it a plague to keep face with the city. In order to keep the peace they made Hunters that would slay the beasts. At the time they were great at defeating the beasts that linger at the night. But like those who drank the old blood they began to change; their minds breaking and becoming monsters of their own now serving the great ones that sleep and dream.
The hunters could no longer be human, and they can never truly die. If one kills them they would just turn to dust and be brought back into the realm of Nightmares and dreams where the Old ones laid dormant. As for the City, well there is a reason that its gone; well not really gone. Its in the belly of The Leviathan where time doesn't exist and reliving an endless loop. Where dreams are the only things that are real.
