Alignment: Autobot

 Temperament:

When not worried over the threat of capture or being seen by a stranger outside of his vehicle mode, Unity can be quite the jovial one towards those around him. Despite the occasional sass from him, he holds a surprising amount of selflessness to his allies and will not hesitate to take the heat for someone, whether it be mentally or physically.

Appearance:

At a total height of seventeen feet, Unity like most Transformers holds a bipedal and aerodynamic figure with a snow white paint scheme. There are two wing-like segments behind his shoulders where exterior plates from his vehicle mode fold up, a beak shaped head with a glowing cobalt visor, a pointed chest, and narrowed legs with edges at the front.

In vehicle form, he uses a 2015 Lamborghini Aventador Super Veloce as his facade while going out on public roads or settlements. Much like his true form he has a white paint job with secondary black on some details. The interior is mirrored after and feels exactly the same as its authentic counterpart, any occupants inside wouldn't be able to tell the difference. When active, that false V12 engine can still be heard normally at the press of the gas pedal. There are no distinguishable features on his exterior to make him stand out from others on the road.

Being a Transformer, an entirely different vehicle can be scanned at will to change into /it/ instead, usually it'll still appear white unless he chooses to change the color as well. It is unlikely he'll ditch his current disguise any time soon.

Before his arrival came the War.

Long ago on a faraway world existed the Cybertronian race, a civilization of artificial beings with many astonishing technical capabilities and attributes. Before hostilities broke out Unity worked as a researcher for a weapons research facility, developing and assisting with experimental technology mostly. He was credited for aiding in the creation of the Space Bridge, a device capable of creating quantum corridors (portals) that could be used to travel almost anywhere.

Over time, movements for equality were started by a lesser bot who served as a Miner due to being of a lower caste, this individual became known as Megatronus. He later gained supporters and sought to abolish the caste system by force. Cybertron was eventually plagued by a global conflict that lasted for centuries between two factions created in its wake: The Autobots and Decepticons. Their everlasting engages gradually let to the destruction of their own planet beyond any recognition to the point of becoming uninhabitable. Defeat was inevitable for the Autobots, who found themselves terribly outnumbered and outgunned.

When called to serve, Unity was chosen to become a member of the Wreckers, a combat unit of the Autobots consisting of only the most talented bots available. They operated outside the standard chain of command and took high-risk missions that were nearly suicide, their equivalent of Black Ops. He worked as a combat engineer and demolitions expert until the war reached its peak. From there he met several of his closest friends: Bulkhead, Wheeljack, and Seaspray.

Their last mission together was to destroy the Decepticon warship Harbinger, which was rumored to be carrying a shipment of prototype weapons technologies. Several bots named Blackout, Hotshot, and Pyro accompanied him during the operation. The Wreckers were successful in breaking through the Decepticon line to reach the spaceport. By the time they got in, the vessel was already taking off with its high-value cargo on board, forcing them to hitch a ride. After sabotaging the engineering bay, Hotshot was killed attempting to escape the Harbinger. Pyro stole a fighter while Unity rode inside Blackout since he could transform into a light dropship. To their misfortune, Pyro was shot down by fighters as the other two Wreckers fled together.

As if nothing could've escalated their situation, the duo returned to find their stronghold reduced to ashes, turns out the outpost was bombed while they were away. With their superiors dead, he and Blackout fled the planet after receiving news that an Ark carrying Autobot refugees was departing soon, all survivors across the globe were ordered to leave. Both bots headed for interstellar space in hopes of finding a safe haven. Just like their weaker counterparts, all surviving Decepticons left and scattered themselves across the known galaxy.

When it seemed like him and his partner would be scattered to the winds for all of eternity across the cosmos, they stumbled across what was to become their new home.

To their own luck, both Wreckers discovered a habitable world prior to setting a random course. Only moments after they came out of warp, Unity and his much larger ally were intercepted by Decepticon flyers. Blackout sustained critical damage during a skirmish in the planet's orbit and was on the verge of going up in one massive inferno. To spare his comrade, he ejected Unity from his interior while in vehicle mode in the form of a dropship, thus causing him to enter atmosphere like a meteorite. It was unclear whether or not Blackout survived, the last time he saw him was when he darted past a blanket of clouds while one of his thrusters was up in flames.

After making impact on a California dairy farm, the lone bot immediately got out of his crater in a frantic search for his possibly deceased brother in arms. At the realization, Blackout was nowhere to be seen and nothing on comm chatter, he managed to locate a road before learning that the azure and emerald marble he was on had a civilization living there. In order to keep a low profile, a passing vehicle was scanned by him to take its exact form, this ended up being a Lamborghini Aventador.

Under this facade, the rogue Autobot began studying traffic laws via Internet through his own helm. The next three years consisted of him roaming North America's highways in his new disguise, and without a need for any type of fuel, good luck attempting to stop him if you're a police officer. Despite his kind having the ability to tolerate isolation better than the natives of that planet, the growing solitude combined with the likely loss of his fallen ally began eating away at his core. Unfortunately for him, Unity was required to constantly keep himself concealed in vehicle mode, the only time he could transform without the fear of being discovered was on backwoods roadways or abandoned properties.

Currently, he uses a deserted underground complex located beneath an aircraft graveyard as safe house, where essential supplies, weapons, and personal belongings. Stored therein crates is Energon, a mysterious substance that acts as the fuel and lifeblood for all Cybertronians, without it he'd weather away in due time. Much of his time is often spent seeking out Energon deposits and materials for crafting new equipment or additional weapons should the time ever call for their usage. When not gathering resources, Unity frequently travels to nearby cities just to explore, occasionally he'll venture into other states.

  • “As far as anyone else would be concerned it isn’t real… and there aren’t many mages left in this day and age. The craft has to be passed down by individuals.” Did such a thing matter to the mech or was the man rambling again? No matter where the answer lies, he kept talking for the sake of calmness while he righted himself in the seat. Constant glances to the rearview mirror still happened on occasion when he wasn’t eyeing the speedometer with quiet concern. Slowly but surely, he was getting used to the quick maneuvers of the vehicle he felt a bit hostage in.

Something about the request to speak felt menacing yet with what little Spencer knew. He looked to the car’s ceiling, then to the front dash, searching for eye contact in the same way that humans pace while on the phone. He hardly had a choice of going to talk or not. Let alone, could he let himself just walk away without ever knowing? There were so many questions from the start. “I’m sure you would be popular among the humans,” Spencer murmured under his breath in a less-than-faithful tone of voice toward the thought. “I understand. You have my word.” It was another secret to add to the list in the grand scheme of things for the ghost, but it was unlike any others.

The roads grew quiet over time. When the landscape stopped giving hints, the man put his gaze out the front windshield and settled in to wait for whenever or wherever they would stop. The clearing came to be their final destination and once again he was sitting up slightly to take a sweeping glance around. When the door clicked open upon stopping he flinched, letting the seatbelt pull away as he stepped out. Spencer’s legs felt like rubber at first from the fall. He turned around abruptly at the sound of the being shifting its forms and grabbed onto the strap of his messenger bag. The mage was frozen as he watched it occur, trying to keep track of any single piece as they shifted and folded in ways he hadn’t expected from the car he had been sitting in.

    Cybertonian. Autobot. Units, factions?

-You’re in a field shouting at a mechanical man as tall as a building.

    You really have gone insane.

It wasn’t fear. He was marveling at the mechanics, so long as there wasn’t the barrel of a gun planted on him. “You’re truly from space… how long have you been here, hiding from the humans?” Spencer piped up first, tilting his chin up to make eye contact with the figure looming overhead. “-And your friends back there, who were they? Do they come from your planet as well?”

    . . .

“-Do you think it is voodoo?”

A voice chimed in from somewhere in the shipyard sounding… unimpressed. He spoke strongly; undoubtedly human. Watchful eyes had been watching for who-knows-how-long. He had watched long enough to witness his own careful plans be shattered for the evening. Overhead, the storm clouds were churning but at the sorcerer’s command. They were no longer needed to assist in catching the suspect that wasn’t there anymore, but what was all this?

It took a little inspection to find the dark-haired man who had stepped out. He appeared from behind one of the stacks of crates and barrels that were corroding from their proximity to the sea. A long, black coat sheltered from the climate. It was a far different approach for the observer than the display he had watched Spencer endure beforehand.

“I am looking for the man in that vehicle… I can find his location, what is that worth to you?”

  • A short-lived smirk made its way across Spencer’s face at the success of the spell, despite the short span of time that was even taken to read it correctly. The book was closed up immediately once the earth took its hold on the mech that gave a cry out of surprise at the interruption. The moment was short-lived when mercury hues shot back toward the white being that was shouting for who-knows-what was coming as a backup. His grip on the book tightened once he noticed the white mech coming toward him. Fear was one way to put it. Spence stood up straight, only managing a few hasty steps back before-

“A-Ack!?” A shout of protest came from the man when his feet left the ground. For a brief second a flash of white translucence encompassed his body as he tried to phase from the grip, but the panic was enough to shut it down. They were running. Spencer tried not to let it jog his brain as Unity scrambled to flee, barely catching the forewarning he would try to make sense of before-

    “A-AAAHHHH!!!!”

The Ex-Rider that had once comfortably free-fallen at certain death altitudes on the back of a beast, was now screaming, up until he ran out of breath and the sound cut out from his chest. Once high enough to start coming back down, Spencer flailed. The book slipped from his hands only to be grabbed again hastily, clinging to the possession tightly. He could see movement out of the corner of his eye down below. The mechanical sounds of panels and pieces clicking into their places made his head turn abruptly.

    …wait!?

He couldn’t make sense of what he was seeing quickly enough before the mage crash-landed in the driver seat and grunted at the landing as tires hit and accelerated forward.

    Breathe,

The mage's hands were shaking. After a couple of sharp turns down the highway he scrambled to right himself in the seat, clamping one hand on the steering wheel and another on the driver side door. His eyes shifted from one window to the other, flinching at lane changes and the close calls on the road. When Unity spoke his head whipped back to look through the rear window for what it was worth, looking for where the voice was coming from, and who was pursuing. When the question was posed he looked around again. He answered shakily as he scooped up the spellbook from the passenger seat and put it back into his bag.

“I.. I’m a magician. It’s magic,” He stammered. “Now what- that thing is still back there, isn’t it? What happened back there? Who and what are you!?”

  • The look the mage was giving the stranger was… something between confused and mortified. His expression bounced back and forth the longer he dwelled on it.

Which, given the circumstances… it wasn’t long.

There wasn’t time for the intricate questions, or so it seemed. Before he could open his mouth to speak or give a better idea (which he hadn’t), the mechanical being sprung up suddenly and caused Spencer to scramble back just a few feet in retaliation. His eyes grew wide. “Wait-!?” He was cut short and soon scrambled to find a spot on the container where he could peek from behind. When he did, the hair on his neck stood on end.

He watched the bolts of energy strike the trespasser faster than he could follow them with his eyes. He’d just pointed that thing at him, hadn’t he? Spencer’s eyes darted to the other two when he heard them drop the parcel and crept just a little closer, poised to move when he had to.

Another flash of white paint came into his vision when the figure he had spoken to lunged to follow through. Spencer flinched himself at the strike when it landed. He slowly started to maneuver around the containers to find a smaller stack of crates to hide behind and reached a hand back to unbuckle his bag. He rifled through it blindly until his fingertips found something familiar. Just as he reached to pull it out, he paused only to watch the downed mech writhe, leaking who-knows-what from who-knows-where. Did they bleed? It seemed like it, but was there anything living in there at all? He didn’t know for sure.

The ragged spellbook was pulled out and the old spine landed on the ground as he flipped through it hastily, muttering under his breath. His fingers searched for a certain section and froze when they landed on it. Drawing in a deep breath, he stepped out of hiding to be able to see and crouched to the ground.

    “Coe eri-or,  gar’uin dór a dorth- polodren...”

The words rolled off his tongue quietly in a language that may as well have been dead with the passing of time. His palms were pressed to the sand and debris-covered ground, mercury hues set intently on the winged mech in the clearing.

    Suddenly...

The ground sank deep around the mech’s feet like the earth itself had moved away from beneath it. With a second sudden crunch,  the compacted ground of the shipyard rose up around their toe and heel to trap them there in crater-like shackles, if only for some time.

  • -pats a mud pie on his hood and runs-

  • The vibrations were drawing closer. Spencer could feel it through his boots and observe it along the dock’s edge where the water trembled in a strange fashion, just ever so slightly. The hair on the back of his neck rose, and the mage slowly took a crouch instinctively. Could it be? No, it was coming from in-land. Surely he would have seen something. The man’s quick look around was a little too soon and from the wrong angle to avoid what would happen soon enough.

Spencer drew in a deep breath and slowly rose back up to his feet to move. About the time he took a step or two back from his hiding space he saw a shadow overhead. The mage flinched when something bumped into him (luckily) just hard enough to send him stumbling over his own feet. His hand fell back to save himself from the concrete, not even thinking to phase or run with so little time. Instead, he scrambled back without even mustering a shout. Just as the weapon was raised, like a reflex, Spencer’s hand rose in front of him in a peculiar manner.

    For what? A spell!?

His odds had never been worse and the words weren’t coming to him. He was stuck frozen with his eyes glued to the… figure overhead. The stranger’s arm augmented in a way that he hadn’t seen from a living creature before. A reflection of the barrel’s glow was bound to show in Spencer’s eyes as he stared it down incredulously. He had questions… so many questions if only his overloaded brain could keep up with what he was seeing. Reminding himself to breathe was a start.

Spencer’s brow knitted together after a moment… what were they doing here? A slow, deep breath was taken while the figure’s arm collapsed back into its prior form. He couldn’t quite follow the machine’s twisting and turning to see how it all worked.

“I could ask the same to you,” The mage responded in a bit louder tone so the mech would hear. His voice was anxious, but not quite hesitant enough to stop the remark from leaving his mouth.

The vibrations returned, now felt strongly with how close to the ground Spencer was. His hair stood on end again (if it ever went back down) and his eyes snapped toward the being when they spoke. Fight or flight was already awake in the Mage. He moved without hesitating, picking a crate to duck behind that would cover his form. His head was spinning. The unfamiliar tone could be heard from his position… it put a pit in his stomach at the keywords heard.

“...I haven’t,” A voice piped up not far away while the mage’s head shook slowly. The news had Spencer brave enough to creep out from behind the crate to put one shoulder against the shipping container beside it, not far behind the white mech. “Do you have a hint of how to stop it..?” Spencer uttered without much hope present. His expression was grave from listening in. From the sound of it, he knew what was coming. It had been many, many years before, but he knew.

  • "Do you always question everything that comes your way?"

  • The air was cool around the man as the water rolled in, lapping against the rusted hulls of giants that were laid to rest in the shallows after so many years. Many of the ships were half-visible, others still upright and lodged in the waterbed… to the Mage, lingering relics felt like playthings humankind hadn’t quite picked up yet. It was a dreadful place to most, a curiosity for others perhaps. To the old ghost, it was a far cry from the nature he left behind, being so close to the overpopulated cities of New York and. All for what? The recent news articles and stories went as far as hauntings in the old abandoned shipyard to theories of tectonic plates shifting that had caused disturbances, changes in tide,  and small quakes in the ships that called it home. Supposed ‘witnesses’ remarked on seeing the ships come alive and move at night, stating the metal twisted and warped in shape in unnatural ways.

    What are you doing here..?

Spencer was no hunter of the paranormal or geologist, but he was searching for something all the same… and he was running out of places to look. There was no sign of activity whether it was of his own interest, the person who tipped him off and sent him out to the shore, or the delinquents that might have claimed they saw skeletal boats ‘moving about’ at their own accord.

    You’re an old fool.

Spencer was propped against the rusty railing of one of the many fishing ships stuck suspended in the shallows. One boot rested on the lower bar, while his arms sat crossed upon the upper railing as if he were a crew member waiting patiently to reach the shore. It was a trek across the jungle of old wood, rusted beams, and skeletal ships to get as far out toward the water as he wanted to be, several ships out from the docks.  Street clothes were hidden under a long, black jacket brought to fend off the rain he knew would come. Dark jeans met with travel-worn shoes that were now partially wet along their edges. A faithful messenger bag was strung over his shoulder. The clouds that rolled in toward the shore were dark enough to blur with the horizon with impending rain to come. The wind sifted through his hair as it went, but it was no bother to Spencer as his eyes remained peeled on the horizon line and the shadowy display of the clouds.

A small sliver of lightning danced its way horizontally through the clouds where portions lit up brilliantly
, if only for a second. He saw no silhouettes, no clues, no hints… It was time to head back to land. Leaving his position at the bow of the half-sunken ship, he tightened the strap on his bag and started his path back to the water’s edge. His feet landed solidly on bits of weather-rotted wood and metal platforms as he went. Once or twice, his eyes shifted to the water when the vibrations along the surface didn’t match the waves. At one point Spencer even paused to study it with uncertainty before he started to move on.

  • // Going to be a lot more active on here.

  •                Once the car comes to an abrupt stop, Chelsea’s magnet disconnects to prevent Chelsea from being yanked around. She rolls off the car but slides to a stop on her feet in front of the car. She’s hearing this vehicle speak, but is having a hard time connecting the dots here. If her armor wasn’t covering her face she would have a huge look of confusion as she tries to understand what exactly the voice means. “Well how could I have seen you if all I saw was a car?!” She screams at him as he drives off and leaves her to find her own way home. “Sheesh, acting like I directly insulted him or something.”

She’s about to start figuring her way back home to Atlas until she notices the new headlights. She throws her arms down in a fit of protest. “Oh come one give me a break!” This just was not her idea of a peaceful night. She reaches to her left thigh and draws her shotgun once more. She begins to shoot at the headlights even though she’s not aware of how little effect it may have right now. She can only get two shells off before Unity is right behind her and demanding she gets in the car.

She looks back to see that the door has opened on its own, and there’s the body-less voice again. She lowers her gun and takes a glance back at the headlights racing towards her. There’s something she’s not understanding here and it’s unsettling. Her choices are to either face an unknown opponent or get in the car with an unknown ally. If she could even consider him an ally right now. Her choices aren’t very good, but she holsters her shotgun and runs into the car. Once in the car her helmet retracts back into her armor and she takes a quick look around.

“Okay mystery man, where are you? Where’s the camera? And how to do you have this much control over a vehicle from another location?” She’s got a lot of questions concerning this tech already, and she doesn’t even know what Unity actually is.  She’s even taken note of the armor capabilities on this car, and it’s scrambling her head on why anyone would do this to a car. Unity is basically something so far advanced that she hasn’t even attempted to grasp the concept of something like Unity even existing and she’s about to be drawn in middle of their war while trying to remain evasive to Mai and Lynn.

Times ticking and she doesn’t have very much time to prepare for the two demons seeking her out. She hasn’t stopped looking around the car for any possible cameras, but she doesn’t search much longer before leaning back in her seat and running her hands in her hair. “God, why is this night already so stressful?” She mumbles under her breath trying to understand exactly what kind of world she’s in. She then turns her head back to look at their new pursuers. “And who are they? I only detected one small squad of FBI. There shouldn’t be more so I don’t know what you’re getting me involved in but I have a pissed off green haired woman after me, and I’m not sure how much longer I can handle being on the run.” The last part was sort of sarcastic as she could handle running for a long time actually.

  • As soon as the car began to move she had the plan to escape with it. She assumes some bystander just saw a car thrown and destroyed and must be trying to get away from the scene. It doesn’t matter to her the reason, just as long as she got out of this too. As the car passes by she runs out of cover and jumps onto the roof of the car. “Don’t stop driving!” She screams out as she places a magnet on top of Unity. The magnet is attached to her armor by a metal wire as to keep her on the car without her having to hang on with her hands. This way she could still fight if they’re being followed.

Sure enough the FBI were chasing after them. Chels lays on her back now as to face the rear of the car. They’re in the black SUV that was just raining down led on her position not too long ago. “Keep your head down!” She shouts again, still assuming that there is someone driving in there. She forms a shield out of a black diamond material that comes out of her hands, and hides herself behind it. What comes next is a wall of bullets. It’s moments like these that she wonders what if her life had been different. What if she never signed up with a military organization that was hell bent on killing everything? What she be on the back of this car, dangling by a wire, and shielding herself from hundreds of bullets?

Who knows, and she’s already fed up with it. She gets on her feet now and draws out her sword. At the press of a button a blue line appears at on the length of her blade. It was concentrated electricity. With one swift motion she swings her sword in an upwards motion towards the vehicle behind them. A wave of electricity cracks the street behind them as it travels in the direction of their pursuers, and collides with the black SUV. The electricity completely demolishes the vehicle, and probably even severally injures those inside of it. Along with several pieces of it falling off on impact, the vehicle also rolls over a few times. For now at least, she believes the worst of the night is over.

She sheathes her sword and discards her shield. Now is the time for her to meet her knight in shining armor, who just might be scarred out of his mind with what was going on. Maybe it was another supernatural being that just didn’t want any trouble. No matter, she lays down on the roof of the car again, and peaks over to see the driver’s seat. Even with the tinted windows her HUD was helping her see directly into the vehicle. “So what do I owe-“

And there’s no one there. She supposes it’s nothing too alarming. Atlas can move around without her piloting it, but that’s a robot. Why would anyone give this ability to a car? And if that’s the case, where is the person that’s controlling it? She’s still assuming that there is biological life in charge of this. She thinks that someone who loves their car modified the brains of the vehicle and gave it remote capabilities. At least, that’s the best she can come up with. She hasn’t thought the possibilities of this thing actually being alive.

She sighs in slight frustration as she’s sure she’s not going to be getting in the car if there’s no one inside to open a window or anything. “Ugh, of course there’s no one in the stupid car! Why would my life be anything but normal for just a few damn seconds?” She’s assuming that she’s the only one there now and that no one is listening to her. Oh, but how her world is about to be turned over.
