Character Relationship Status
Married - Unfaithful
Dietrich was an only child, born on 31 December 1911 in Gütersloh, Germany to a wealthy family in the medical industry. His mother Emmaline Athala von Schäfer and his father, Tomas Aldrich von Schäfer, owned Physiotherapie Von Shäfer (Von Schäfer Physical Therapy) in their hometown. Treatments primarily consisted of exercise, massage, and traction with manipulative procedures to the spine and extremity joints. Because of the medical facilities demand after the first World War, their family saw a high social and financial standing among the community despite Weimar Republic’s plunge into troubling economic and social disorder.
He was raised mostly by his mother, due to his father’s perpetual demand for business until he joined the local chapter of the Youth in late 1925 and, from 1926 to 1929, was a member of the Hitler-Jugend, Bund deutscher Arbeiterjugend (Hitler Youth, League of German Worker Youth). Patriotism was prevalent in their household; such ideas being stuck into Dietrich’s head at a young age saw an undefined love for his country as he grew. His father was a firm believer in the DAP, soon to be known as the NSDAP, and an early party member himself.
After coming of age at the end of 1929, Dietrich dropped his Youth membership to join the Reichsmarine and was assigned to the Type 23 torpedo boat “GRIEF” on 21 June 1930. At this time, the Reichsmarine did not maintain traditional at-sea fleets and he saw his vessel operationally deployed in the North Baltic Sea: Marinestation der Ostsee headquartered at Kiel, overseeing the ports of Swinemünde and Pillau. There he served just short of four years before finally committing to the NSDAP and being granted the Party number: 607365 in January 1935.

About the Writer (OOC)
This character is one of pure fiction and does not reflect the beliefs of the writer. He is heavily based upon real members of the NSDAP but any similarities are purely coincidental. I do not claim to be an expert on this period and I will do my best to study my topics. However, as a writer, I can accept the fact that mistakes will be made somewhere and will always be open to correction and constructive criticism.
English is not my first language. I try very hard to utilize every tool available to me online, be it Spellcheck, Grammarly, as well as having someone read over my work at times to offer a native speaker’s viewpoint. Due to this, sometimes my idioms or double-meaning words don’t translate well for me and I may misuse them. If you have any questions about a line or word I have written, please feel free to contact me so I can further expand on what I meant.
I will not write any storyline that involves sending my character into the future or modern times, be that it is by magic or technology. Dietrich has an established ‘Death Date’ and writing beyond that would interfere with the timeline and character development I have worked for him.
I will not place Dietrich in another country that does not correspond with his role within the SS. However, due to the expanse of the German influence during WW2, this does leave open many destinations for consideration.
Ex. of allowed Destinations: Germany, Poland, Austria, France, Norway, Netherlands.
Ex. of not allowed Destinations: North and South America, Africa, Japan, China, Russia.
I will not change Dietrich’s sexuality to fit the narrative of a story. Dietrich is heterosexual. If anyone is familiar with the strict expectations of the Reich during WW2, you would understand that any sexuality deemed “unfit” was often subject to the same horrors as the other victims of the Holocaust. This also means I will not write Dietrich as a closet homosexual as it does not fit his character profile. He will react accordingly towards people that do fall into this category.
My refusal to write my character in this verse or my character’s opinion towards the people who do DOES NOT reflect my real-life views towards the LBGT+ community.
I will not change Dietrich’s personality to fit the narrative of a story. His personality is a very large construct of his character and development. This includes proper displays of mental and emotional illnesses and addiction. Changing these details would undermine the entire concept and experiences that have shaped him into the person he is.
I will not write with anyone under the age of 18. This is due to the sensitive nature of the subject which I roleplay. It is often hard to portray the horrors of the war while at the same time, making the subject acceptable for a younger crowd. This also includes NSFW themes, which absolutely will not be written with anyone under the age of 21. If the story somehow evolves towards an NSFW theme (not necessarily sexual) with a writer between 18-21, it will fade to black.
I am open to putting my character into relationships and/or romantic settings. Dietrich is typically written as being married and will so default to such unless otherwise requested. Please be aware that any relationship with him will be written in accordance with his personality and the expectations of the time period. These relationships often contain many aspects revolving around control and mental and physical abuse. Dietrich is a hard man to love.
Relationships with Jewish or Ethnic characters are ACCEPTED, however, please be aware it will likely be the slow-growing, hate-filled, abusive type of progression and may never be considered a “true love”. If you don’t have a love/hate relationship with ‘angst’ type stories, this likely won’t work for you.
Sexual themes are accepted with an attached storyline, but a relationship is not required.
I will not allow my character to be used as your IRL kink. If you cannot offer me a story, then I am not interested. I don’t feel this needs to be expanded upon.
I typically prefer to plot a storyline or initial meeting, even if it’s just to set the tone. This also helps me understand that you are aware of my rules as I would hate to be sent a generic starter only for it to not fall in line with my non-negotiable requests.
If you have read my rules and are aware of them, you are welcome to send me an opener and I will attempt to reply to the best of my ability.
I write multi-para to novella style, ranging from 2-8 paragraphs depending on the scene. I do my best to establish a decent setting in the opener or early posts, so they tend to get lengthy. However, I do not expect the length to be mirrored in every response but do not insult me with a single line.
Banter is always acceptable in the stream or Discord.:
I would like to expand on Dietrich’s personality as there has been a bit of confusion with some people towards the extent of how I write him.
Basically put, Dietrich is a Nazi – a real-life villain and I typically try to write him as one to the best of my ability. He is not secretly a good guy, he does not feel shame or remorse for wherever he has done or is going to do, and he would happily do it all over again if given the chance. Do not attempt to sway him with flowery words and promises, he will see this as a weakness in your character and attempt to exploit it if given the chance.
He does not secretly love your character or have some deep down feelings for them.
He is evil as evil gets, be wary of whatever soft side he shows as there is likely some ulterior motives.
There will be depictions of rape, abuse, torture, death, etc if you interact with him. I am usually pretty firm on this stance given the setting and events taken place.
I try to keep events believable. If you can’t see it happening 85 years ago, it likely won’t be entertained.
Regarding Dietrich’s role in the SS and the NSDAP, I typically write him as a Lagerkommandant of Treblinka Labor Camp in Warsaw, Poland. The duties of such a role basically require him to be present on campgrounds and live in a provided home on the perimeter to allow him to oversee the operations. This tends to be my go-to setting for most of my storylines, however, I know this cannot work for everyone so I am willing to discuss other places to put him as long as it falls in line with my rules and does not go against Dietrich’s established background.
If there are any questions about certain parts of my rules, please contact me. I am willing to talk things through and see what we can come up with.
