The Supernatural Division is a sub-division in the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) where specific immortals or supernatural beings choose to work with mortals for making the world a better place. Putting aside their differences to work together to make a certain oath of trying to keep the world of the supernatural and the mortal world be able to co-exist. 

The job entails from the supernatural agents to take on supernatural threats that the mortals are unable to take on themselves while the mortals work on mortals via the same reason.

For centuries both species have been at war with one another. Mortals abducting and killing vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters and more because of what they are and vise versa. 

The Supernatural Division see's to trying to make everyone some-what co-exist within reason. Both parties benefit from this as it helps them grow a trusting bond with one another to show that it is possible the supernatural world and mortal world can work together and co-exist.

After Dorian's brief turn to mortality and almost having met the True Death by Evelyn, Dorian feels a sense of change from the monster he once was and wanting to do honest and good work as well as live up to Lilith's memory, his creator who had confided with him often about wishing their species could co-exist. Dorian having seen this as a oppertunaty and rude awakening after almost having died has taken this job seriously and has changed becoming a better man than what he once was.
