Gerwulf still shook his head. Beauty and being handsome were very shallow things, and whenever it came to mind, he was technically an old man. Appealing to one's eyes, perhaps, either way, he still didn't really agree, but he accepted that others may call him that. "I guess I'm a bit of eye-candy, but I've seen better," He said with a shrug as she gave him the same sort of once-over as he did perhaps before their toast. Licking his lips once more like he was getting more thirsty while drinking, he thought that when they did get to the diner, he'd probably have to eat his weight in food.
"Have fun," He stated as she walked away, her fingers trailing along his arm. It was interesting to see what alcohol did to such a woman, inhibitions starting to drift away as Aesa became more than friendly. Watching her on stage, singing the song that she chose, nice and slow, but with a bewitching feeling to it. He couldn't help but grin some more like one would get from a dog that was having the best of times. When she returned, Gerwulf was clapping heartily, nodding as his name came up soon after hers. "Yeah, sounds good," He commented before heading up himself.
Again, he was swarmed by some people who wanted to ask if he wanted to go home with them or ask for phone numbers. Even one person who seemed to think he had musical talent, he just clapped the person on the back and shook his head. The bottle was forgotten on the table by Aesa. When he got onto the stage, the song he chose was a classic, which allowed him to put on a show. 'Don't stop believin' rang out in its long tones as he cried out, moving the mic forward when some of the last dregs of the crowd sang in return. Wiping sweat off his brow as he got off stage a few minutes later, he grabbed his bottle and the cork. "After you, Aesa. I'll put this in my car before we head off. Don't want to scare the diner staff, thinking I'm a drunken vagrant."
Aesa clapped for him as he walked back to the table. She stood up, grabbing her shirt. The drink she'd had was gone already, so there was nothing for her to finish. "You can stick it in the storage compartment on my bike. My jacket is all that's in it right now, but your call." She began to head towards the exit, the barkeep yelling the warning for last call. She stepped up to the bar, getting her helmet from the barkeeper before turning back to Gerwulf. "We timed our exit right."
Walking out into the night felt almost chilly after the heat of the bar. Her bike was parked close to the exit so she didn't have far to go when she left most nights. As she walked up to her bike, she smiled clearly proud of it. It was blacked out except for gold toned suspension. All her free money had gone into it, but reliable transportation was vital to survival in her life. "Here's my baby." She opened the storage under the seat and took out her leather jacket. "Feel free to stick your bottle in, I think it'll fit." As she shrugged on the jacket, she looked around the parking lot. "Lead the way to your car."
Kicking her bike into neutral, she began to roll it in the direction he led them. Aesa was glad she wasn't intoxicated enough to stumble or struggle with handling her bike. She was humming the last song he'd been singing during karaoke as they walked. "Your legs are longer than mine, don't get to far ahead." She'd let him drive his car, but neither one of them should be driving after the amount they'd drank. Him more than her, but they were both intoxicated beyond levels to legally drive she was sure. A Harley went down the road and she jumped turning to look at the road. It kept going and she relaxed, returning her attention to Gerwulf. "At least the diner is a straight shot from here. We won't have to walk to far."
The large man followed her out and through the bar as last call was called. "Works for me in case we want an early top-up," Gerwulf commented like a lush would, though he was likely making a joke as he knew most people didn't drink Whiskey when they wake and need to brush their teeth. Though he knew some people who would swear by it. They were the true alcoholics. He just enjoyed harder stuff when he had the time to do it. His mind wandered a bit as they walked into the chill of the night. Moving along with a bottle in hand, he admired the bike that she moved next to. "She's quite the looker," He said as he moved to place his bottle into the storage area.
Nodding lightly, he moved down the road to what looked like an open lot parking area. His own baby sitting underneath an open area where one could see that it was pristine, at least it would be if not for the local birds. The black paint marred by nature's call as it were. He didn't mind and liked the walk as he showed off the thing before walking by the lot entirely. "That's her, she's been with me through thick and thin..." Gerwulf commented as he blinked while a biker passed by, and Aesa looked around more sharply.
Gerwulf didn't need to broach the topic as they moved, the breeze blowing across them as it raised dust and leaves. "You want me to help push your bike? As said, I have longer legs and won't have issues. It'll give you more time to interrogate me as it were, if you're up for that," He said with a chuckle, trying to get her to ease up slightly as he understood that look. It was when you didn't know if you were safe, the fight or flight moment, to see what someone else would do. He moved slowly to see if she would give or just continue trucking along like she had before.
When he pointed out the car, she gave a low whistle. "She's gorgeous." It always make her chuckle when people, even her, gave sexes to cars. At least it was all in good fun. When he asked about pushing the bike, she frowned, almost wanting to refuse out of pride. She couldn't help but laugh when he when mentioned interrogating him. "I suppose I could do that. We can take turns. You push it to the diner. I'll push it home." She let him take the handles before moving to the inside of the side walk. "Did you buy your car new or did you fix her up? I put all my extra money into buying my baby."
She stopped walking and tilted her head looking at him. "You know, I've barely asked me anything tonight about myself. I won't get mad if you do you know. Don't have to, but I'm just saying." Aesa began to walk again pondering what else to ask him. "Now that you want me to ask you questions, I can't think of any to ask." She caught her thumbs in the belt loops on her pants. The sign for the diner was visible now up ahead. "Alright, out of all the places you've been. Who has the best food?"
Her gaze moved back to him, appreciating the ease with which he rolled the bike. It was fast, but it still had some weight to it. "How did you get to see all the places you've been? You can't be that old." It was possible he was a military brat too. His family moving from place to place his whole life. It could explain most of it. Yet, she couldn't imagine what would have taken his whole family to the Congo.
Nodding in response, pride enveloping his being as it were, when Aesa called the 1970 Chevrolet Camaro gorgeous. Cars were meant to be taken care of, and when he had the chance, he'd wash her down, get her detailed and waxed. For now, she stays in the dark alone. While they moved, he took over for Aesa and began to walk to bike a little more comfortably than Aesa. "Sounds like a plan," he said lightly with a smile. Sure, Gerwulf knew that the bike was heavy and unwieldy, but the issue was that he had both height and strength on his side. Being used to wheeling things across great distances, sure, this wasn't a siege weapon, but it was still good exercise.
"I... well, let's just say that I bought it when it was original and have been working with it for years." Gerwulf didn't hesitate; he just paused to think as he nodded slowly. He did buy it brand new, in the 70s, but telling her that and looking in his 30s would sound really odd. A better plan was to obfuscate and just say he worked on it until it was what it looked like now. "Oh, I pour buckets of money into her. It has two separate kill switches that need to be sequenced before she even starts." What could he say when he saw 'Mad Max', he knew he had to do some awesome modifications to the vehicle.
When she stopped walking, he did the same and blinked at her as he tilted his head to match her, though he let his tongue loll out momentarily like a big dog before grinning. "I know most don't like talking about their past or family, so tell me what you want to share about yourself. Like favorite genre of book or bucket-list dreams that you have to do within the next few years," He commented before he nodded to the beginning of his interrogation. "Germany, or Hungary. Fried cutlets, mushroom sauces, and plenty of potatoes. It may seem bland, but it always reminds me of my childhood, as it were," He stated before spotting the Diner as well.
That was when she asked how he saw everything, "Well, I traveled a lot while I was a kid. Nomadic is what people call it when you move every few months. Strange kind of childhood, or so I'm told. However, it was the only one I knew. So my lifestyle now just matches what my home life was like. Free of all constraints." Gerwulf spoke up as they pulled up to the Diner, glancing over the bike to get the kick-stand in place as he motioned toward the door. Waiting for Aesa before entering, following a booth or counter of her choice.
