Update your settings

It says I have 7 notifications, but I don't actually have any.

It even does this on the login screen. The number keeps coming back even when I clear it, and sometimes it goes up.

Can I ask what browser your on? Mobile or PC as well will be helpful? I haven't seen this before nor been able to replicate it with some dummy accounts I have. 

I'd also recommend unchecking all of your notifications in your account settings and then reconfiguring them - we removed a lot of them (the spammy ones) but if yours were still enabled before we removed them, it could just be a blip in the system. So try unchecking them, save --> Recheck them, save.

I'll leave this open until I get more info, but let's hope the first option helps!

I can't say I've experienced notifications that won't go away but I do still get the occasional ghost notification...where it'll say I have a new notification but there's no new activity. 

I use PC and Firefox. I also clear my browser cache a lot so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. I just unchecked all my notifications and the problem persists. I'll recheck some now...

EDIT: Rechecked, problem persists. Microsoft Edge (PC) gives me the same issue.

I solved the issue by tagging myself 😆

However just tagging myself once gave me this:

I deleted the post off my wall, but I'm wondering if this is a new separate issue.

EDIT: I noticed it seems to tack on multiple tags instead of just one when I type an @(Name) in.

EDIT #2: Seemed to be a problem with the || in my name. I guess using || in a tag breaks the code somehow. I tried ( ) and it broke tags too.
