It had been six months since Gertrude was saved by Anna, and the old vampire left the compound after a fight with her brother. Gertie had left the next day herself, needing to see the world as it is now and figure things out on her own, so she had re made a list of places she always wanted to visit, one she originally had made a long time ago in high school, but never accomplished. Tony had given her one of his limitless credit cards and a cell phone, Natasha showed her how to use the phone and how to activate the distress signal if anything happened so the team could come help. Fortunately Gertie had never needed it. Over the six months she'd gone to London again, Paris, Rome, China, Thailand, all over the world, transportation provided by Happy when she called him, ready to move on to the next place in the Stark Industries jet. Of course she kept minimal contact with even Steve, Happy would update him when he took Gertie somewhere and she texted him once a week, every Sunday at six in the evening his time to let him know she was still alive.
Steve hadn't been too sure about his sister leaving them, but she had at least not just taken off like Anna did. He still wasn't sure if he believed what Anna said in her letter either, his mind still back in the forties, he didn't see love as a cold, distant and violent person like she was. Steve had stayed with the team, when Happy would inform him of Gertie's new city she was in, he had Friday search for any traces of Hydra just in case, fortunately they seemed to have gotten smart and abandoned the city once she landed, which made him feel a little more at ease with her being out there on her own. So he focused on training the team with Natasha now that they had Wanda, Vision, Sam and Bucky who were the newest to the group, they had to learn how to work together when something came up. Steve also helped Bucky where he could with his memories, and now that his best friend had been released on parole and was a public citizen again, he had to help Bucky adjust to civilian life and being an Avenger, it hadn't been easy for Cap himself, he could only imagine what Buck was going through, but over six months he saw alot of improvements. They were just inside in the training arena when Steve heard something outside and saw it was the Stark Industries jet, which could only mean one thing, his sister was home. "Take a break guys" he told the others before he headed outside just as Happy shut down the engines and Gertie stepped off the plane. "About time you came home!" Steve called as he walked faster over to his sister and hugged her. Gertie chuckled "I had places to go okay?" She joked as they broke the hug. "You look....good" Steve remarked with a small nod and a smile. "Well, one of us has to" Gertie teased making Steve grin and slightly roll his eyes as the others came outside.
Over the last6months,Anna had been travelling to certain places int he world, she had almost run into Gertrude in Paris, but she was able to avoid it and jet off to somewhere new. She was currently in Italy, she was sitting on a patio enjoying a drink and some sweets while reading an Italian poetry book. She ahd been there for the last week and felt at peace and likes he was at home… she kept in touch with Wanda and Bucky, but for different reasons, with Wanda the girl did not let up in contacting her and finally Anastasia gave ina nd replied, but for Bucky it was mroe contact to do with his therapy since she was the one to always remind him. And she kept doing so. She sighed as her newly appointed assistant came to her and told her it was time to board her last flight, Fury had called her a day prior asking for her to return cause he needed her back due to something that he found out about HYDRA.
Bucky had been doing actually okay over the last six months. He worked on himself daily and was thankful for the reminders that Anna still sent him about his therapy, he had been doing a lot beter, getting over major hurdles and getting healthy. He ahd finally cut his long hair after tony dragged him to a barber shop. He wore nicer clothes, and was actually pretty happy..so much so… that he ahd started to date int he last three months. He ahd been seeing a girl aked Lucy, she was sweet and smart, he still had unresolved feelings for Gertrude however. But Lucy didnt mind, she was mroe than happy to just be with him now, Bucky hadnt been working with the others that day. He ahd been on. A date and wore a nw suit to impress Lucy.
