"Well, when I left town my family went ahead to New Orleans while I helped Tyler find a werewolf pack out in the Appalachians. After that I went to New Orleans for a bit, but I didn't stay long. Uncle Nik wanted his city back which pretty much was leading up to a civil war between vampires, so I left. Spent the last week and a half in the woods in Belize, down in Central America. My power comes from my immortality but my roots come from the earth, so I went there to try and figure out where my path leads from there" she explained.
Tyler noticed their smiles falter and their laughing stop "What? Am I interrupting something?" He half joked. When Emily punched him in the arm, Tyler feigned hurt. "I do not! I wanted to surprise you jeez" he teased at her and gladly hugged her back. "Besides its still early and you know how quickly Caroline can throw things together" he joked with a smile at her. Erika waited and took a few steps out of the shadows, she wasn't sure how to take the expression on their faces, but then she was engulfed in a tight hug and breathed out as she hugged Stefan back.
