Work backstory: at the age of 25 she was fresh out of the police academy. at 29 she worked her way to Detective at 33 she was promoted to Lieutenant. and at the age of 37 became the squads Caption. What makes Liv good at her job is because her herself was a product of Rape. Her mother put a lot of blame on her as a child and didn't really care for or mother Liv at all. As liv got older they mended their relationship. but her mother passed when Liv was 27. She is a bleeding heart for children touched by any kind of violence. She is motherly to all she helps and fights for them and is protective. She has put herself in danger many times to help somebody who needed her. and she dose with out question. shes not foolish and can stand alone in a fight if needed. doesn't mean she can't be taken down but she will not go down without a fight. She is an emotional being feeling things very deeply at times. Cases get to her at times and are hard to shake.
personal life Back story: Liv has been a cop sense the age of 25. She now now 40 and has worked her way up the ladder and in doing so she met ex Husband, Elliot Stabler. They were partners for 13 years before he left to work over seas in organized crime in Italy. Before he went over seas their life started to crumble a bit. till it dissolved completely and him taking her two kids.
Her friends
Fin who is her best friend has been at her side from day one really stepped up and helped out with Noah. Fin Loves Liv but Liv sees him as a big brother. The two poke fun at each other but the bond is strong he is always there for Liv. Just as she is for him. He is very protective of her and of Noah and Clara. There is a lot of love there. But Fin will be the first to tell Liv when she is in the wrong he holds her accountable, but in the same token He dose it with love and respect and never bashes her. To him Liv is a good woman and a strong cop. and a damn good mother. If you ask fin Liv is his work wife there is none like her.

Amanda took a bit for Liv to warm up to but once she did the two grew into close friends. They would look after each others kids, go out for coffee or drinks after work. and Liv trusted her greatly. Amanda like Fin has been at her side though many things both at work and in her personal life. Amanda is protective of Liv and Amanda views Liv like a sister. if asked she will tell you Liv is very strong and very caring. and she hopes she is even a fraction of the person she is.
