Summary;
Detective Reed has been tracking a serial killer for months, only to have them slip away every time he gets close. His obsession with the case has cost him his family, who have finally left their distant father to move across country. The newspapers question his abilities as a detective, but the case is not as simple as one man committing several murders. With nothing else to lose, Reed has sunk every waking moment into this case trying to get one step ahead of the perpetrator, sleeping in his office chair when he finally becomes too exhausted. Will he finally solve the mystery, or will he die trying?
