As she walked off the small stage in the bar, she was thinking about his agreement to drop by. He probably wouldn't be impressed with the small section. She was the main one who used it, but he didn't need to know that. She sank back down at the table giving him a grin when he complimented her. "Thanks! I appreciate that. Screaming our rock songs are a good way to let out some stress." When he offered the whiskey she started to reach for it then stopped. "I shouldn't. I have to drive later. And I hope you have the number to a local cab yourself. If not, long as I'm sober enough and you don't mind riding on the back of a Ducati, I can take you."
It was surprising to her how much he'd already drank and didn't show a single sign of being intoxicated. His tolerance must have been high, but a lot of ex-military people she knew had built up quite the tolerance to alcohol over the years. She wasn't going to ask how he could drink so much, it was none of her business. Though after a moment, she bit her lip. "Alright. One sip shouldn't wreck me too much. I do have a bit of time to kill until my next song after all." If he handed it over, she'd lift it to her lips taking a drink from it. It burned going down and she let out a whistle. "Good stuff."
She sat back in her seat, picking up the beer. Hopefully the liquor on top of the beer wouldn't make her sick. It was one shot, she should be fine. She hoped. "So... not to sound forward, but if you want to follow me back to my place you can see the building tonight if you want." Aesa wasn't trying to make a pass at him, but she didn't sleep much as it was. And well, tomorrow was one of the few days she had off, so she wasn't worried about going home and going to sleep anyway. As she finished asking, the man running the karaoke called out Gerwulf's name. "Have fun!"
"Screaming of all types relieves stress, true story," Gerwulf said, thinking back on days that he'd roar into the wilderness. In the days when creatures roamed the forests and valleys ran with nature's bounties. Then again, he thought about it and grinned with the other meaning that could be very well placed. "How far is your place? If it's not too bad, walking a bike wouldn't be a necessary deal breaker. As for riding while holding onto you? I don't see why not, though, most bikes can't handle my heft," He commented as he motioned to himself before she took the whiskey from him to take a shot worth. Grinning like a fool, he took the bottle back and began to drink deeply.
His metabolism was extremely good, as was his tolerance for alcohol. It meant that he usually partied all day and night when given the chance. Sure, it looked really odd at times like this when he was only slightly tipsy compared to others who would be face down in the dirt, drooling and pissing themselves. If he were a normal person, he'd have surely been an alcoholic or worse, given his other habits. "Time should be spent living instead of killing," He murmured quietly as he glanced around again before his eyes darted back to her. One brow raised coyly as Aesa made her proposition.
"Not forward at all, I find it refreshing that you feel comfortable enough around me to make the offer. I know my outward appearance scares off some and others, well, I like stunning conversations along with looks," Gerwulf stated with that sly smirk, filled with confidence as he heard his name being called. "The public awaits!" he cried, leaving the bottle and moving through the crowd again; they parted to let him through. Some were crying out and cheering, others were trying to reach out for him to get his attention. Gerwulf didn't mind, just giving a pat, a touch on someone's shoulder, or even a wink as he moved onto stage. When the song played, he did the same thing as before, letting out a slow rumbling growl with a wide smirk.
He cleared his throat slightly, coughed once, before he put on a falsetto as music came on to 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love' by The Darkness. Truly stretching his range, one would believe he was either well-trained or damaging his vocals, which was a bit of both as he screamed out in higher pitches than what would be expected of a guy looking like he did. Shrugging off his leather jacket, he even made a show of dancing slightly as he ran through the more long-held notes. Looking back over to Aesa, he winked as he continued to the end. Sweat covered due to his antics, he couldn't help but woop over the mic before he blew a kiss to the Bar patrons, picking up his jacket, he walked back over to the Shieldmaiden. "Definitely had fun..." He said, his voice mildly raspy as he reached for his bottle to give it a scalding.
Comfortable. She was surprisingly comfortable with him. He was flirty, but not out of line. She'd even flirted back. Aesa didn't usually go home with people from the bar or give them her number, but something about Gerwulf made her go against her better nature. He'd helped her out tonight, plus he was fun and laid back. Didn't seem like she could ask for much more. She gave him a smile when he took off to the stage. As he preformed, she gave a whistle and clapped, cheering for him. When he came back to the table she grinned at him. "You could do this professionally, you know. You're really good."
She picked up her beer taking a drink as she gazed around the bar. It was starting to clear out some. The bar less full because people were trying to sober up to drive home. She checked the time on her phone, but it was only a little after one. Aesa glanced at Gerwulf with a curious smirk. "You really alright with walking the bike back if I drink a bit more than I should? You sure?" She waited for him to reply and if he said yes, she'd order something a bit stronger. Aesa didn't want to get so drunk that she made stupid decisions, but being nice and tipsy wouldn't be so bad. And she was in no rush to get home. She wasn't tired despite having worked all day.
While Aesa waited for her drink, she motioned to him. "Tell me, Gerwulf, if you could do any job in the world no training required, no cost. just walk in and start. What would you do?" She couldn't imagine doing anything other than what she was doing, so her answer would be pretty boring if he turned it around on her. It was a silly get to know you question, but that's what you did at the bar right? Make new friends. Get to know them. Flirt and drink. Thorin would be disappointed in her not moving faster, but he was a ladies man. The women tended to flock to him like they did Gerwulf. Aesa's walls were a little too high for most people.
Whatever was in the air, or perhaps that was the alcohol. It made everything seem easier, almost as if freedom seemed to be attainable to everyone. Inhibitions drifting away within moments, lasting so very long as he embraced the atmosphere. Though some were calling it a night, they still had drinks to get to and, if nothing else, quiet time to talk. That was how one made friends after all, once you were past stranger and into acquaintance. "I probably could, but I wouldn't like being tied down by that, which would entail. Rather do other things and leave singing as a fun little thing, I can grace people every so often," he responded smoothly as he thought about it and shook his head.
"Yeah, I've walked from the east coast to the west, believe it or not. So as long as you're okay with it, I'll walk you and your bike home," Gerwulf said slowly, bragging only slightly as he dropped that little tidbit on Aesa. His eyes drifted over her before going to the waitress, who came over to grab her order. Nodding to the woman before going back to his own drink, necking some more whiskey as she motioned to him. "That is a hard one... probably astronaut, anything else I can just walk in and do what I can. Learn as I go, but the issue is who would let a guy like me do that, right?" Chuckling to himself before he grinned widely.
"I mean, what else would there be? There are so many things that I would like to do, yet I'm already doing them. Slowly, but one thing at a time... What about you?" He motioned back with the bottle at Aesa before drinking some more as the waitress came back with what she had ordered. "If you could do any job in the world, no training required. What would you do?" It was fair play to ask the same question, given how many years he had under his belt. He had already done his fair share of different things. Small dreams and a supposed bucket list.
The offer to walk her home made her smirk. It sounded so old fashion, but it fit him somehow. She was glad he was alright with it, cause watching him drink from his bottle was making her want to drink more. It wasn't good for her and she'd pay for it tomorrow more than likely, but she was here to relax and have fun. Once the waitress was gone, she turned her focus to him and let herself enjoy listening to him talk. His voice was calming for some reason. Or maybe that was the beers talking. Who knew. And right now she didn't really care either.
The last thing she expected was to have her own question bounced back to her it but she supposed it was fair. The only thing was, she didn't know. She leaned on the table resting her chin on one hand. "I'm not sure..." She pondered for a moment, thinking out loud somewhat. "I kind of already do what I've always wanted to do. I've always wanted to teach martial arts. Here I am, doing that. Though, I also enjoy drawing. I never thought I could make money doing art. It's too subjective. What people like today they may hate tomorrow and all your work is wasted. At least that's why my dad said. Him and my grandfather wanted me to go into the military. My brother too. So yeah... maybe be an artist. Otherwise, I'm already doing it I guess." She almost added that she'd want to help kids get away from abusive families, but that seemed a bit of a mood dampener at the moment. He didn't need to hear all of that.
"What kind of vehicle do you drive? You know what I'm rocking out in the parking lot." She gave him a smile, taking the new drink when the woman brought it. A simple old fashion. It was well made though as she sipped it. Her stomach growled and she blushed a bit. "We might have to walk the bike fast so I can put food in my stomach after we leave. I don't know if they serve food here or not." She hadn't been paying attention. Instead he'd taken up her whole focus.
