Over the next week, Maren had settled into the Salvatore home, mainly her room so she didn't disturb the three who actually called it home. Maren frequently checked in with Jenna and Jeremy, but even at school she refused to speak to Elena, and if she did, she got violent with her, again. Still she went to the counselor in the morning or sometimes during class when the itch got to be too much, she wished Grayson was still around to guide her, the words he would say still in her mind but it was getting to the point that didn't always help her. Still she did the ritual after getting werewolf blood from Jules and stealing the moonstone from Carol Lockwood, now Klaus was a fully functional hybrid. The one thing Maren hated was when Stefan asked her for advice on Elena, she was never good with handling Elena herself, that's why she'd moved out so many times, so the only advice she could give was to end things with Elena, if all she wanted was a pity party and petty heated arguments, that wasnt love. Living in fear and anger like the two of them had been, that wasnt love, that was his vampire emotions getting the better of him, just like it did with Katherine, and one day it would drive him past his breaking point if he let it continue. Maren was currently sitting in the grassy back yard, it was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and she was taking full advantage of it before it got colder as Winter crept closer, fortunately it was only the first week of school being over. Meanwhile Klaus had been a werewolf for three days after the ritual, so a day before the week ended, was when Elijah had found him and brought him clothes. Once he fed and gathered his bearings, he took Elijah to where he kept their siblings, bringing the three coffins to Mystic Falls, but only undaggering one, Rebekah. Klaus had a chance to make hybrids now, his new family, but he had someone to see first and went to the boarding house and knocked on the door. Klaus grinned as he saw Kendra open the door. "Well hello love" he said with a cheeky smile. "You miss me?" He joked at her.

Klaus chuckled softly at Kendra's words as he took a few steps back when she came outside. He knew that even though the house was in Kendra's name, he could get inside, seeing as she was a vampire and the dead couldn't own property. "Well I just spent the last three days as a werewolf, fed and roamed the woods the entire time. Now, my dear brother Elijah has joined my siblings in their eternal slumber, you see he was too much of a risk, so I daggered him, and released my dear sister. Unfortunately she had been asleep since the twenties and I was hoping that you could aid me in taking her to local shops so she may dress accordingly to this era" Klaus politely requested.

Maren had her eyes closed as she just soaked up the sun from the last few days that summer heat would come by when she heard Stefan's voice. It was then Maren opened her eyes, she had to admit, the one thing Elena had done well was her choice in men, well besides Matt, he was cute but more like a brother. Stefan on the other hand was in Maren's eyes, well she could think of alot of inappropriate school things to do with him, things that should be kept behind closed doors. "No offense Stef, but it's a smart choice, all the fighting you two do, it's not healthy" she said as she stood and turned towards him. "Just be honest with her. Knowing Elena she'll beg and plead and cry for you not to do it, but thats when you need to be strong" she began. "Don't bring up Damon or yourself, just tell her basically that you feel it's not working between you two, and you think the relationship should come to a close and wish her the best in her future endeavors" Maren said with a shrug as she lightly scratched her arm, which was a habit between NAS as a child and nerves that made it worse.

Klaus rose a brow and gave Kendra a somewhat curious expression as he saw her reaction to his request "What exactly did you think I had come here for?" He asked with a slight chuckle. When Kendra went inside to change, Klaus stepped off the Salvatore porch and waited, he did have an suv waiting, and Rebekah was feeding on blood bags back at where he kept the coffins in an old warehouse on the edge of town, Rebekah was awake but Finn, Kol and now Elijah were all daggered and in their coffins, along with a spell locked one that contained their mother.

Maren rolled her lips together a little "You wouldnt have seen it sooner Stefan because you didn't want it to be true, but ive seem it too. How or why....i don't know, all I see is some evil temptress who cons everyone into getting what she wants, just like Katherine, which okay I get, especially for Damon. But you? You deserve so much better than that Stefan" she said softly. When Stefan took her hand and she was forced to stop scratching her arm, she looked down at it, faint red marks from her nails on her skin, plus she felt embarrassed. "I'd say I'm surprised Elena didn't tell you but then again she doesn't think of anyone but herself" Maren began as she looked up at him again. "My birth parents were addicts, I was born with what's called NAS, neonatal abstinence syndrome. I was basically born going into withdrawal after a few hours since I was born, mainly to methamphetamine and heroine. Grayson took me in after I was taken away from my parents at a day old and he put me through a tough detox, which meant basic infant care but I was constantly irritable. It's why I scratch and get moody, violently moody because it can affect a person their entire lives, especially into the teen years. It's also why I go see the school counselor before first class if I'm having a temptation to use, which so far I never have" Maren explained.

Maren simply nodded "Think of it as an overpowering urge to feed on human blood from the vein itch, only you've never tasted it in your life. When my mother had me, she'd fled and they found us in a drug house, I was in a drawer for hours without food or a change while everyone was passed out when the cops showed up. I dont actually remember it, but I have nightmares about it, usually the night before the urge hits me" she explained. When Stefan suggested compulsion, Maren shook her head "K offered me the same thing when I told her this the day I moved in, but I've been through this battle my entire life. Without it I'd be...empty, if that makes any sense. It's a part of who I am, it only disrupted my life when Elena was around because she'd piss me off on my worst days and Jenna would have to handcuff me in my room. I even want to a detox and rehab center last year but it didnt help, it's in my blood, quite literally" she added. "Its okay though, ive never scratched so hard to draw blood, usually i wear longer sleeves too, it's better than giving in and using to curb the itch" she added with a slight shrug. 

Klaus turned around when he heard the front door open again and smiled as he saw Kendra come outside. He walked with her over to the suv and opened the door for her. Once she was in, Klaus went around to the drivers side and headed back into town. Klaus chuckled at Kendra's question "Rebekah is one to keep up with the latest fashions, that much i can say. She likes her dresses but in this era she's probably be more opt to slacks and jeans, for women of course. Anything that will get a male's attention for sure. You might need to take her to a variety of places, she's still in her mini flapper from the twenties" he said in amusement. After about ten minutes they pulled up to the old warehouse and Klaus got out, leading Kendra inside. "Rebekah! Where are you?" He called. "Well it's about bloody time! I thought you'd abandoned me yet again Nik!" The blonde said a little angrily. "Now now be polite sister, we have company" Nik insisted. "And who is this?" Rebekah demanded. "Rebekah I'd like you to meet Kendra Salvatore, Kendra this is my sister, Rebekah Mikaelson" Klaus introduced. "Kendra is going to help you Rebekah, adapt to the ways and styles of this new age, seeing as you care about that sort of thing more than I" he explained. 

Maren smiled slightly at Stefan's words, not having realized he was still holding her hand "Hey at least mine doesn't kill people, well sort of...bad joke, I'm sorry" she said with an embarrassed shake of her head. Maren stood with Stefan "Hey!" She called out. "Im off tonight so I'll be here when you get back if you need to talk too, you'll know where to find me...somewhere around here" she added with a smile at him before Stefan left. She was just VERY hopeful Kendra didn't see any of that, or she'd be ooohing all over the two of them. The thought just made Maren giggle a bit as she walked back inside through the patio doors as it was beginning to drizzle rain.

Klaus was talking to Rebekah when he was suddenly smacked upside the head. "What the bloody hell!?" He became to exclaim and looked at Kendra as she scolded him. "Yes i put Elijah in a coffin! It's only temporary, he would have tried to ruin everything i have planned, Rebekah here will stand by me no matter what" he said and smiled at his sister. "Alright then let's get a move on, i don't want to be going around the twenty first century dressed like this or the humans will think I'm bonkers" Rebekah somewhat joked. "Oh sister, who says they already don't?" He teased and Rebekah glared at him. "You still haven't explained these plans you mentioned either Nik" Rebekah added. "Let's just say...I'm planning one hell of a family reunion..." Klaus remarked as they headed back into town in his vehicle.
