Ironic, considering who he is.
A personified phoenix, chronically and terminally ill – though he hides with incredible dedication and precision – who lives strictly for his job. Healing, training, helping, and caring for all creatures, supernatural or otherwise, is in his blood. After inheriting his parent’s sanctuary following their death – the very one he had worked at his entire life before – he continues their legacy and mission of helping injured, ill, dying, orphaned, or dislocated creatures in the hopes of creating a better world for them and all others.
Rin is a gentle, patient, and kind soul who has learned since childhood how to care for and deal with creatures of all sorts. He can be seen as standoffish due to his lack of desire for relationships or very many close friendships, although he does care for the people closest to him and the workers at his sanctuary. Rin takes little to no time off for his job and considers it his top priority. He is simple in his desires and likes – reading, writing, cups of tea – and prefers a calm and quiet life over one too exciting. He has one adopted sister, the spirit of spring – Hanami – and one basically-younger-brother, Legion.
