Meurtre au paroxysme

This is a roleplay story, as well as a roleplay challenge. This is a murdery mystery group roleplay, please have fun. 

Plot

[19 year old Ginette Boucher was found dead on February 8th, during the early hours of the Tuesday morning at 4:05am. Cause of death has been identified as strangulation from a thin rope, specific murder weapon unknown. Site of the murder: The general study room on the 3rd floor of SouthOasis apartment building, the only general study room in the apartment building and the only one with multiple printers

There are currently Six suspects, all visited the crime scene before the murder took place. Descriptions below are what the police have found so far; the suspects, the victim, the crime scene, and video photage from the apartment cameras.]

Suspects

Other character roles (not required):

• The Custodians (2 people): You know nothing and saw nothing, but are allowed to make up your own claim, as long as it does not severely affect the story. Clues will sometimes be given to you by the plot leader

• RA’s for all Oasis apartments ( 4 people): you know nothing except the personalities of the students in your apartment-style dorms, clues might be given to you sometimes by the plot leader.

Detectives

Crime scene 

[The victim was found face down on her far-stretched computer, lips busted and faint handprint on her left cheek. There was also a scratch mark on her left cheek with a small amount of dried blood. Neck showed markings of being squeezed tightly with human hands, but there were markings from something very thin, wrists blue with a reddish hue and showed signs of a struggle. A broken sterling silver necklace that was later identified to be the victim’s, was also found on the scene. The chair that the victim was using, had been pulled back, causing the body to sag, barely supported by the table]

Setting and Time frame

[The plot takes place at Liberty University, a four star university widely know for it’s exchange system. The murder is mainly based in a small university community located just about 0.7 miles off campus, consisting of four apartment buildings; North Oasis, South Oasis, East Oasis, West Oasis. The name was generated from the small man-made forest that laid just behind the community with a smoothly paved asphalt road that connected it to the campus. The forest is filled with man-made ponds and and many birdhouses and animals like squirrels, rabbits, and such, but does not contain animals considered dangerous to the public]

Manditary plot actions that must be done (Detectives)

• Detectives must interview suspects privately 

• Detectives must provide the plot leader with screenshots of the interview to show proof of their own efforts.

• Detectives can share clues, but they cannot bribe suspects to tell them everything they know

• You are not allowed to take any legal actions against the suspects until you are absolutely sure of who the murderer is.

• As a detective, if you are sure of the murderer, you are allowed to post your answer, but your findings must be presented privately to the plot leader. 

• Detectives, please keep an eye out for clues.

Manditory plot actions that must be done (Suspects

• You will be provided with secret clues that detectives need, you are not allowed to tell them. The plot leader will post such clues from time to time.

• You are a suspect and if you are the murderer, please try your best not to get caught.

• Your job is to be as truthful as you want, however, please listen to the plot leader and only provide important clues when they say its time.

Roleplay Rules 

• Please Be at least semi-literate. 

• Character photo is not mandatory, but profile is, even if basic

• Important clues will be posted every 5 hours, detectives are not allowed to pester the plot leader about them. 

• This is a roleplay story

• As a detective, if you are wrong, you are not allowed to delete your post. If at any time you, as a participant deciide to quit the roleplay an leave, you are not allowed to return or share your findings with anyone who is participating; not even potential participants. 

• Please let the plot leader know as soon as possible if you want to leave the roleplay

• The first detective to post his final answer of the who the murderer is, is the winner. There are no 2nd or 3rd places, the plot leader advises the detectives to please think fast. 

[Please keep in mind that the plot leader is not one of the main characters of this roleplay, but rather a passerby; a common english teacher who is about to be transferred to another university]
