Character History/Story

Born into a wealthy family, Kaitlyn Chang was the mixed race daughter of her Chinese father Daniel Chang and her white mother Katherine Chang, as her mother was a LGBTQ advocate and preaches civil rights and acceptance. When Kaitlyn fell into a well, she was attacked by a swarm of bats and developed a phobia of bats, and she was spoiled and selfish. Her father helped her out of the well and taught her the importance of rising up after falling and how it's important to help those less fortunate than herself. Kaitlyn wouldn't adhere to the lesson until when her mother and father were killed. Blaming herself for the tragedy, she vowed to avenge their deaths as Batwoman, patrolling the streets of Manhattan, New York, striking fear into the hearts of those responsible for murdering her parents because of their interracial relationship and the criminals who harm the innocent.
