Brian Jackson Kennedy was born on the 21st of August in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He spent his childhood living on his parent’s sheep farm on the Irish moors. As a kid, he believed that his life was normal and uncomplicated. The truth was far stranger.
Long ago, an ancestor of Brian’s deceived and betrayed a woman who later revealed herself to be a Witch. As punishment for his treachery, she cursed the predecessor with Lycanthropy. The curse plagued every male descendant of his family line and over the centuries, the curse climbed its way down the family tree. It occasionally spared a generation from the curse, though Brian himself was not so lucky. He shared the same fate as his grandfather and was born with the gift for which there is no known cure.
Brian was raised very protectively by his parents, Jack, and Evelyn Kennedy. They home-schooled Brian until the age of seventeen, out of fear that he would be discovered by his peers to be a Werewolf. His parents intentionally did not reveal his true nature to Brian until after the day of his first transformation, much to his shock and surprise. Brian was angry at his mother and father for a time, but eventually, he understood that they were only doing what they thought was best for him.
Brian left Ireland shortly after his eighteenth birthday, as he did not want to burden or endanger his family with his curse, though he still stays in contact with them and tries to visit whenever he can.
Brian keeps a low profile working as a care aid at a hospital in the American Pacific Northwest. He lives alone and doesn’t allow himself to become too close to others, out of fear that they may discover his true nature. While it's true that belief in Werewolves is not as commonly shared in the 21st century, the magic that binds him is still as strong as the day it was first placed upon his family.
Brian is not at all proud of his true nature and tries to hide his unfortunate condition as best he can. But while he may appear as a simple man in the light of day, the phases of the moon bring out the beast within. Burdened with this affliction, Brian has no choice but to distance himself from other people, even those that he desires to be friends with.
The risk of causing them harm is simply too great.
Aloof, reserved, and quiet at the best of times; Brian is not very skilled at social interaction. Despite his best efforts to be kind and friendly, he comes off as awkward and shy around large groups of people, and no wonder. Spending one’s entire childhood around sheep, rather than humans, will vastly impede your social skills.
As a man, he is very passive and will not engage in a physical fight with another person unless his life depends on it. But he’d be quick enough to stop a fight between two humans just to make sure no one gets hurt. Brian is surprisingly courageous and extremely loyal despite his discomfort in social situations. His word is his honour and he always keeps his promises.
While Brian sees his curse as little more than an irksome condition, there is certainly more than one benefit to being a Werewolf. He has a heightened sense of smell, vision, and hearing. If Brian is hurt badly, his wounds will regenerate quickly. In addition, he also possesses physical strength worthy of an apex predator and can run far faster than his human compatriots.
For obvious reasons, Brian doesn’t make a point of showing off these advantages and will only use them when it is absolutely necessary. But for every strength, there is a weakness to match it.
Like all Werewolves, Brian can be harmed with Silver but nothing but the real thing will do any damage. A blade or a bullet to the heart, made of the purest silver is the only thing that can effectively kill him. However, legend says that fire can also kill a Werewolf if the blaze is strong enough.
The Wolf which Brian takes the shape of every full moon is capable of inflicting devastating damage upon anyone unfortunate enough to get in its way. Brian would not recognize even his own mother after transforming. Blind to any allegiance or feelings of compassion, it will mercilessly kill and consume anyone unlucky enough to stumble into its path. Any prey unlucky enough to encounter Brian in his Werewolf form would be unwise to flee. The Wolf can easily catch them by running on all four of its limbs. Standing on its hind legs, the Lycanthrope reaches a staggering height of eight feet.
The entire body is covered in a thick coat of black fur and is further endowed with an impressive pair of fangs and claws that are adequately made for ripping and tearing the flesh of its prey. It is the superior apex predator that should rightly be feared by all.
