Beyond the cosmos, behind the veil of darkness, there are gods born from Great Evil. When they were born, they were imprisoned inside Khaos and never saw the light of day. There they have slumbered. Being slowly consumed by nothingness. They would be forever deformed by their prison. One day a chance arose, when Khaos's hold was no more; they were spat out and able to be free.
But they did not notice, for they still slumbered in their cells; the body of their creator. That all changed when Angels entered their domain and stirred them awake. When they finally risen they reshaped their domain to their liking and enslaved those who entered; corrupting them to their image. Before things could get worse Yahweh cut their realm away from his creations leaving them to their own taint. But their influence was not averted though he may have cut the connection, they can still wander out of their realms to fill their desires.
So an agreement was made; Yahweh will continue to create while the dark gods would destroy. They can destroy whatever they liked, but if they attack a creation he was monitoring; conditions must be met whether the creation (world/universe) Lives or dies. The dark gods would choose a champion (Harbinger) from the world to influence and convince them to corrupt the world into their image, or find the source of the world and destroy it. That way they could feed off the creation and make it part of their own.
