Traitor

She sat in the break room with a small smile on her face. She didn't look as she does now, rather than her bright feminine appearance she had cropped blonde hair and a gruff face. She wore her scars with pride rather than hiding them from others, the most apparent one being the one that ran straight across her face. She flicked a small ember across the room at one of the other guards and smirked when they looked at her with a scowl. Even with her somewhat menacing appearance she was still known to be playful and a trouble maker when she could be.

Her smile quickly vanished however as her head snapped to look at the door, a scrawny male kitchen help coming rushing through the door. He looked out of breath and his eyes were wide in terror.

"Theres a winter court. He came in through the kitchen, he attacked some of the others I've already called medics." In an instant everyone in the room stood, their weapons quickly appearing in their hands as they rushed out of the room and scattered across the castle. Adelaide immediately headed towards the prince's bedroom, after all he had done to her she couldn't help but be concerned. She kicked the door down and busted in, a bright blush crossing her face as she found him in a compromising position with a hand maiden. Her face still held it's stern, no funny business look however as she regarded him, ignoring the nudity and the other girls grin.

"Sir. There has been a break in. I wish to evacuate you immediately until the situation is under control."  Her voice was gruff, mixed with a hint of pain as she spoke. The prince did not look panicked however as he stood.

"I am in no danger. Who do you think let them in? I will come to no harm, only the king." He wore a smug look on his face as she became outraged. She stormed out of the room and instantly began to run to the throne room, planning on dealing with the prince later. Once she reached the king she was almost too late. A spear of ice was headed towards the man, and she instantly threw out her hand and set fire to it, melting it into a puddle. She ran forward with her battle ax, working to swing it through the mans neck but she was caught off guard. Apparently he had companions, as she found out the hard way as one stabbed their sword through her back. Her eyes went wide as she fell to her knees, grabbing onto the attacker in front of her's shirt in an attempt to bring him down with her. As soon as she made contact she began a fire through her hand, setting the man ablaze just before everything went black.
