*Her question was a good one, why would they attempt to try again, you would think they were smart enough to realize if they were beaten once, that they would be taken care of again.ย That question would have to wait, as whatever this thing was, was causing more destruction to the city below, destruction he wouldnโt tolerate in โHis Cityโ.ย The Bat flew along its course and then started to slow down.ย The readings along the path of destruction told him that this was no ordinary run of the mill car chase, this was other-worldly to say the least.ย He pushed the Bat faster, moving past the Green Lantern until he arrived at the spot the thing stopped.
He surveyed the area and noticed the human form crouched down in front of a burning vehicle, from its demeanor it seemed to be fighting with itself, almost as if it were fighting to regain control.ย Whomever this was, was trying to free itself from an outside force.ย He stopped the Bat, opened the canopy and jumped out, expanding his cape he glided down to the ground and landed next to the Green Lantern.*
You really think that thing is going to answer you?ย From my knowledge of the Reach, that armored plating is just the first step in taking control of the host, but this host doesnโt like it.ย The readings I took from the Bat indicate the host is none other than Two-Face and if there is one thing Two-Face doesnโt like is having someone or something tell him what to do.ย If that ring of yours can stop that scarab from bonding with him, I suggest you use it now, otherwise the new Two-Face Scarab will be nearly impossible to stop.ย But I must remind you of one thing, no killing.

Brynn isn't welcome in LA, it is her home but since she was unfairly fired and etc, she doesn't stay but she can return if the police officers there need help with anything. You say you are tracking a scarab, I havenโt heard or seen anything in the city concerning that.ย The last time I saw the Reach they were being defeated in El Paso, TX, thanks to the Justice League.ย I know the story of the Reach sending one scarab per planet, but I thought they would have learned their lesson the last time.ย They didnโt succeed then, what makes you think they will succeed now?

*Gotham City, a place that never seemed to be bright or clean, a city that was always gloomy and overcast.ย But to many Gotham was home, the only home they have ever known, and they probably wonโt be leaving anytime soon.ย The people of Gotham knew there was a silent protector watching over them, and if anything, ever went wrong if the city, he would certainly show up, for you see, he has his hand on the pulse of the city, he knows everything there is to know about this city and when someone comes into his city unannounced, letโs just say it doesnโt sit well with him.ย
The city had been relatively quiet the past few nights, a few robberies, muggings and purse snatchings, but nothing that warranted his attention, GCPD had all of that covered, that was until tonight.ย Standing on top of Wayne Tower, a lone solitary figure could be seen if you actually knew what you were looking for, but for the average Gothamite, that solitary figure was just another gargoyle perched on top of the many buildings across the city.ย
As he watched from his lofty perch the green streak across the bleak dismal sky did not go unnoticed, he immediately jumped off the building, expanding his cape to form a wing and took flight,
following the figure until it stopped in crime alley, the location where the Bat was born.ย He quickly pulled the cape in to his body and landed in an alleyway to the figures left.ย He was a part of the shadows, part of the fabric of Gotham, as he moved stealthily towards the figure, when he realized what it was โ a Green Lantern.ย He thought to himself, what would a Green Lantern be doing in Gotham?ย Especially unannounced.ย As he moved closer to the GL, he noticed it was a female figure, so that ruled out Hal and the others from this sector.ย Slowly he crept up on the figure, and then announced himself*
