Cheetah was locked up in a detainment cell with a force field. Not the standard prison bars of earth. Which wouldn't hold her. Not with the changes she has been through. She looked around as she tried to figure out how she got her. She remembered being attack and something happen. What was it. ..... ย Vampires! Yes. She didn't think they existed till she fought one. She got the upper hand till another ambushed her and everything went dark.ย
Thirsty so thirsty. She needed a way to escape. Slowly she began clawing at the walls in hopes of digging her way out. She managed to make a few small cracks that let some air or light in. Such a small gap. If only she could fit. Then she focused and felt herself changed. Body becoming less tangible. More ethereal. She slowly began turning into mist as she slipped through the cracks and made her way outside of her cell.ย
There was a new recruit who was on guard duty while Jessica was on watch duty. Cheetah flowed out into the hallway and moved towards the man. The man looked puzzled at the sudden arrival of mist. The mist turned back into a humanoid form and attacked. Cheetah attacked ย the man and drained him dry of blood. She licked her lips and smiled as she felt better. She couldn't beleive what just happened. Such new power and strength coursing through her. Now it was time to try to find a way out of this place.ย
*Her question was a good one, why would they attempt to try again, you would think they were smart enough to realize if they were beaten once, that they would be taken care of again.ย That question would have to wait, as whatever this thing was, was causing more destruction to the city below, destruction he wouldnโt tolerate in โHis Cityโ.ย The Bat flew along its course and then started to slow down.ย The readings along the path of destruction told him that this was no ordinary run of the mill car chase, this was other-worldly to say the least.ย He pushed the Bat faster, moving past the Green Lantern until he arrived at the spot the thing stopped.
He surveyed the area and noticed the human form crouched down in front of a burning vehicle, from its demeanor it seemed to be fighting with itself, almost as if it were fighting to regain control.ย Whomever this was, was trying to free itself from an outside force.ย He stopped the Bat, opened the canopy and jumped out, expanding his cape he glided down to the ground and landed next to the Green Lantern.*
You really think that thing is going to answer you?ย From my knowledge of the Reach, that armored plating is just the first step in taking control of the host, but this host doesnโt like it.ย The readings I took from the Bat indicate the host is none other than Two-Face and if there is one thing Two-Face doesnโt like is having someone or something tell him what to do.ย If that ring of yours can stop that scarab from bonding with him, I suggest you use it now, otherwise the new Two-Face Scarab will be nearly impossible to stop.ย But I must remind you of one thing, no killing.

(Oh Papa Midnite yes, and I was thinking more when you said a new totem, and I had said for the plot about a demon I thought about Mallus. Papa Midnite could be working with Mallus or his followers and to raise him, create another totem, like from what you said. )

Speaking, unwares almost of that she was and of what she was saying Mari frowned as she rose to her feet and looked around puzzled. Trying to remember, see her village from how it first was before the ruins around her, trying to use her memory to pick up on something that might be out of place.ย
Hearing Jessica's exclamation of wonder at having seen the elephant morph around her, Mari jerks and comes back to the present glancing to Jessica in surprise before she smiles. "My totem, my village had six guardians, each had a totem of each of the elements. I was given the Spirit Totem, this totem, I got the others from my sister, the other is held by a trusted friend. The Spirit Totem, allows me to have the abilties of any animal. The elephant you saw has one of the best senses of smell."
Watching Jessica, listening as she asked her ring and went to a spot Mari watched transfixed and then frowned at the question of it coming from underneath them. "It could be possible.. I smelt sulphur.. "
Clasping her Totem she mentally reveiws which animal could dig the deepest, before the badger morphs translucently around her. "Shall we dig?"
