Character Appearance

He appears to be in his late twenties or early thirties, yet there is an unmistakable weariness in his eyes, a depth to his gaze that suggests he has lived far longer than his youthful appearance would indicate. His hair, streaked with grey, gives him the air of someone who has weathered many storms, both literal and metaphorical. Though his face is still youthful and his movements swift, there’s a quiet heaviness about him—an unspoken weight carried from years of hardship, loss, and survival. It’s as if the passage of time has etched itself into him in ways that are not immediately visible, but which become apparent to those who look closely enough. His outward youth is a mask, a shell that doesn’t quite match the man beneath.

Character Personality

He might look like the kind of person you’d steer clear of—stoic, serious, and a little intimidating, with an air of someone who doesn’t suffer fools gladly. But in reality, his tough exterior is more of a shield than a true reflection of who he is. Beneath that rough-and-ready surface, he’s surprisingly warm, with a dry sense of humor and a playful streak that emerges once he feels comfortable around someone. While he can be blunt and direct with people he doesn’t know, those who get close quickly realize he’s far more easygoing and fun-loving than they first expected. He has a way of lightening the mood, even in tense situations, and is the first to crack a joke or pull off some mischievous prank just to see people laugh. Despite his jovial side, though, anyone who’s earned his trust knows that when it matters, he’s fiercely loyal and protective of those he cares about. He’s the kind of person who might joke around one minute and be ready to lay down his life for his friends the next

Character History/Story

Drauf’s story began in the harsh wilderness of Scandinavia, around the year 750. He was born to unknown parents, his origins a mystery that would remain unsolved for much of his life. Left to die in the forest as an infant—abandoned either by fate or the cruelty of those who had no use for him—he was saved by the wild creatures of the land. A pack of wolves, sensing his fragile pulse among the trees, took him in and raised him as one of their own. For years, Drauf lived alongside them, learning to hunt, to survive, and to communicate in the primal language of the wild. It was a life of both freedom and danger, where every day was a fight for survival.

But even the wilds could not protect him forever. Eventually, Drauf was discovered by a group of hunters, tracking the elusive beasts in the forest. He was no longer the helpless child left to die, but a feral young man, wild-eyed and strong, unrecognizable as human in his ragged, wolf-like appearance. It took a squad of elite hunters to subdue him, but capture him they did, bringing him back to civilization—not as a man, but as something closer to a beast. For years, Drauf was enslaved, forced into grueling labor by those who saw him as nothing more than a tool to be used and discarded. His body, honed in the wilderness, was a weapon, and it was put to work until he could no longer bear it.

Then, as fate would have it, a band of raiders attacked the village where Drauf was enslaved. The roar of battle and the clash of steel freed him from his chains. Drauf, seeing an opportunity for freedom and adventure, joined the raiders, his spirit finally tasting the life he had once known in the wild—a life of movement, of war, and of honor. His new companions taught him the ways of their people—how to fight with a sword, how to navigate the seas, how to craft his own future from blood and steel. Though it was a world far removed from the one he had grown up in, Drauf quickly adapted, his wilderness instincts giving him a ferocity that few could match.

By his mid-twenties, Drauf had made a name for himself within the settlement he now called home. He was a fearsome warrior, respected by his peers, and his reputation spread far and wide. His skills in battle were unmatched, and his stoic demeanor earned him the admiration of those who fought beside him. He had learned to temper his wild nature, and he found a place among them that was more than mere survival—it was a home, a community, a family. The elders of the village saw in Drauf not just a fierce fighter, but a man of rare strength and character, and they welcomed him into the fold.

Yet, despite the bonds he had forged and the respect he had earned, Drauf could never shake the restless hunger that burned deep inside him. The wilds still called to him, the open road whispered his name. He had never been a man to stay in one place for too long. After earning the blessing of the village elders, Drauf set out on his own, determined to carve his own path once again. His departure was bittersweet, as he left behind friends who had become like family, but Drauf knew that the road was where he truly belonged.

For years, he wandered, moving from one land to another, seeking something he could not quite name. At times, he would return to the settlement, checking in on the people who had once been his kin. But as the years passed, those he had known began to grow old, their faces fading into the past. The elders who had once guided him were gone. The friends he had fought beside were no longer there. Drauf found it increasingly difficult to return, unable to face the inevitable passage of time and the death that came with it.

The pain of seeing his past slipping away was too much for Drauf to bear. He stopped returning home altogether, choosing instead to roam the land, a shadow of his former self. The world had changed around him, and he had changed with it. Where once he had been a part of a close-knit community, he was now a lone figure, wandering the wilderness he had once called his own. He had become a legend in his own right, his name spoken in whispers by those who had heard tales of the wild man raised by wolves, the fierce warrior who had once fought for honor and glory.

But in the quiet moments, when Drauf sits alone by the fire or gazes out over the horizon, he cannot help but wonder if he has been forgotten—if the people he once cared for have moved on, if his name has faded into the mist of time. The world keeps turning, and Drauf, the warrior who once fought to find a place for himself, continues his journey alone.
