Character Appearance
He appears to be in his late twenties or early thirties, yet there is an unmistakable weariness in his eyes, a depth to his gaze that suggests he has lived far longer than his youthful appearance would indicate. His hair, streaked with grey, gives him the air of someone who has weathered many storms, both literal and metaphorical. Though his face is still youthful and his movements swift, there’s a quiet heaviness about him—an unspoken weight carried from years of hardship, loss, and survival. It’s as if the passage of time has etched itself into him in ways that are not immediately visible, but which become apparent to those who look closely enough. His outward youth is a mask, a shell that doesn’t quite match the man beneath.
Character Personality
He might look like the kind of person you’d steer clear of—stoic, serious, and a little intimidating, with an air of someone who doesn’t suffer fools gladly. But in reality, his tough exterior is more of a shield than a true reflection of who he is. Beneath that rough-and-ready surface, he’s surprisingly warm, with a dry sense of humor and a playful streak that emerges once he feels comfortable around someone. While he can be blunt and direct with people he doesn’t know, those who get close quickly realize he’s far more easygoing and fun-loving than they first expected. He has a way of lightening the mood, even in tense situations, and is the first to crack a joke or pull off some mischievous prank just to see people laugh. Despite his jovial side, though, anyone who’s earned his trust knows that when it matters, he’s fiercely loyal and protective of those he cares about. He’s the kind of person who might joke around one minute and be ready to lay down his life for his friends the next

As Drauf began to explain himself, Rey said nothing at first and wore an expression of deep contemplation. She was trying to get a sense of whether he was lying or not, and if she really could trust him. The truth was that she did want to trust him, especially after mentioning that he wanted to help them fight the First Order. But there were still a few concerns and questions that would need to be answered before she considered him an ally.
As he pointed out the fact she came alone, Rey did consider this and smirked slightly. He had a point, but already she could sense that Leia's squadron was almost here. If he was secretly a danger, she would have back-up soon. As he extended his hand, Rey shot it a weary glance before lowering her lightsaber, although she did not turn it off or reach out for the handshake.
"I hope you're telling the truth, Drauf. Because if you aren't...it was a mistake to come here," she said before leaning to the side so she could get another glimpse of his ship. Perhaps it could be repaired, but it would take days if not weeks. Clearly he wasn't worried about leaving, so perhaps he was being honest after all. "Speaking of which...how did you find this base? Only Resistance members know its location." For Rey, this was indeed the most suspicious part of all.
Could we rp? :)
[ No worries at all, and thank you for starting us off! ]
The ship's presence was felt almost immediately. General Leia and her commanding officers watched in alarm as an unknown craft appeared on their radar. "What's that? A First Order ship?" one of them asked, deeply concerned that the enemy had found their base. Leia didn't know the answer, not for certain, but through the force she had a feeling that this person who had landed was not hostile. Quite the opposite in fact. "Send a squad to the wreckage, they might be in distress. Take your blasters just in case."

Not far from the base, in her own little corner of the jungle, Rey was tirelessly training for the fight ahead. After volleying back and forth with one of the training droids, her exhaustion had caught up with her and she realized it was time for a break. Before she could even sit down or turn off her lightsaber, however, she saw the streak of metal and smoke that tore across the sky. Eyes and jaw wide in alarm, Rey wasted no time in rushing off, in the direction where she assumed the ship would land.
It took a few minutes, and by the time Rey arrived she could see the stranger leaving the damaged vessel and making his way towards her. The Jedi apprentice slowly raised her lightsaber in a defensive stance. Just like Leia, she had the sense that he was not from the First Order. However, she did not know who he was or where he came from. The more important question remained...how did he know where the base was?
"Identify yourself, trespasser!" Rey would call in a firm and steady tone, staring the stranger down. She had no idea what he was going to say, or what would happen next. She needed to be ready for anything.
(Appreciate the add. I am getting settled in and am glad to have more company for writing! Let me know if you would like to plot out anything. Happy to ideate.)
(thank you for adding me)
[ Yeah exactly. Kind of like how Finn was not 100% behind the Resistance at first but then eventually becomes a leader. I think that sounds great! How do you propose we start? Or who should start? I don't mind coming up with something ]
[ That is a good idea. I like that. So maybe we could do a small time skip to when the Resistance is on their Ajan Kloss base (the jungle planet), and maybe Drauf comes with hopes of being a recruit? Rey could show him around and maybe he could join her and the others on a mission of some kind? ]
Well, My character is a Queen and a leader. She likes to be a knight giving that a thought I think that she could go to your character's village and ask him for help with some monsters.
[ That doesn't sound like a bad idea! It might be more interesting to have it take place during the main story, so that there's an ever present conflict with the First Order. That could be interesting, maybe Rey and the others don't entirely trust him at first because he's a bounty hunter, but then through their adventure they start to become friends. I'm just not quite sure where to start or what should happen specifically. I might need a little time to think about it. ]
[ Hi there! Neat character you have here. I'd love to roleplay! Did you have any thoughts on how Drauf and Rey could meet? ]
