  • "...The Emperor?" Rey whispered into Leia's ear. Surely it was not the same Emperor Luke Skywalker had defeated all those years ago? If so that would certainly be grave news for the Resistance. Leia gave a dismissive shake of her head to quell Rey's fears. "No, they cannot be the same," she said simply, knowing that the Emperor they spoke of had to be different for two main reasons. Emperor Palpatine was dead, and they were from an entirely different region.

Leia would then turn back to face Ragnar. "I see. Well, that does put some of our fears to rest. Thank you," she said with grace before continuing to follow Ragnar to the throne room. Both she and Rey would begin to feel the presence of the Primarch. It almost felt like the force, but was something different altogether. Rey placed a hand on her temple as she struggled to ignore it. As the company entered the surprisingly dark room, all eyes turned towards the massive, towering figure who sat on the throne.

Leia gave a very deep, respectful bow. Rey copied it, as did the rest of the Resistance officials. As Russ began to speak and walk towards them, the young Jedi was struck by how powerful his presence was. Now she knew why it was so important for her to not say anything out of term. She could feel how strong he was without him even having to show it; and perhaps even then there was more than meets the eye. "Thank you for allowing us onto your grand ship, Wolf King," Leia said in response. "And I believe it goes without saying that we are all very happy that you are not our enemy," she added with a small, calculated chuckle.

Rey couldn't help but be in awe of Leia's diplomatic abilities. As impressive as it was, it should have come as no surprise for the woman who served as a Senator for most of her life, and then became a well respected General. "And yes, you will have any and all assistance we can provide to aid your repairs. We are but a small group of Rebel fighters...less than 300 in fact. However, they are the most determined, hard working and honest group of people I have ever had the pleasure of leading. I promise they will be of value to you."

Leia paused to take a breath. Rey didn't want to believe it, but she sensed a flicker of anxiety on the General's features. "In return, my Lord...I would respectfully request that you become our ally, or at the very least, a neutral party in our fight against the First Order. I believe a leader of your status will understand why it would be astronomically detrimental to our cause if you were to align with our enemy." Upon hearing this, everyone became tense again, wondering what Russ would say to such a proposal. In Rey's mind, the trade seemed fair, but would he feel the same way?

  • In response, Leia gave a smile and a small laugh in agreement. "Yes, she certainly has that, and a whole lot more. Of course, I will make sure she knows the expectations when we come aboard." She then gave a polite bow of her head before walking over to Rey and gathering the others that she would like to have participate in this meeting. There was Commander Poe Dameron, Leia's second in command whom she was training to replace her someday. They would also be joined by a couple other high ranking Resistance officials, and of course...Rey, Leia's Jedi Apprentice.

Once everyone was ready, Leia led her group over to Ragnar and the dropships, stating that they were ready to come aboard. On the way up, Rey studied the others who were around her. She had been to many places and seen many strange creatures, but she had never laid eyes on a species like this before. "Rey, I know you mean well..." Leia started as she put a hand on her student's knee. "But please, keep to yourself and let me do the talking. If you'd like to say something, ask me first."

Rey nodded, knowing full well that she had stepped out of line earlier. She just couldn't help it sometimes, especially when she saw what she believed was an injustice against her closest friends. "I will," she promised with a small smile. When it came time for the group to step inside the Hrafnkel, everyone was frozen in awe for a few moments. No one, not even Leia, had seen a ship like it before. It wasn't just the size that was impressive, but also the nature of the ship itself, it almost seemed to feel alive as they went deeper and deeper.

Upon hearing Rangar's question, Leia piped up. "There is one thing I would like to know before we proceed." She paused. "Where do you stand on the Galactic War? Are you an enemy of the First Order? Or are you a neutral party?" Leia of course, had no idea that this ship, or its crew, were from another galaxy altogether, one that was far, far removed from the workings of this particular conflict; and would likely have no idea what she was talking about. Rey stood on the side, listening intently to see what Ragnar had to say.

  • There was a collective sigh as everyone realized Ragnar was okay. Judging by how confident he had been, the outcome didn't seem that suprising. The Rebel glanced between him and his blaster, before slowly lowering it and strapping it to his back. "Thank you," he said simply with a small bow of his head.

Leia would then turn to the squadron and raise her hand with a dismissive gesture. "At ease, everyone. You can put your weapons aside and return to your duties." One by one the Rebels began to wander off, murmuring to each other about Ragnar and the Warriors, guessing and theorizing about who they were and where they came from. Rey, on the other hand, was very unimpressed and strode back up to Ragnar with a huff.

"How dare you undermine the General's authority! What gives you the right to walk onto our base and start training our fighters like they're your own!?" But before Ragnar could even reply, Leia placed a hand on Rey's shoulder and began to console her. "It's alright, Rey. I'm not upset, nor do I feel undermined. There was value in what happened today, and not just for one Resistance fighter, but for everyone." Rey still didn't look so sure. "B-But..." she began, but then seemed to realize that she was making a fool of herself. If Leia wasn't angry, why should she be?

The young woman then gave a sigh. "I'm sorry," she said, both to Leia and Ragnar before taking a step back, realizing that she was getting in the way. She walked several feet away and began to silently meditate, connecting with the force to help ground her. Leia would then turn to Ragnar with a polite smile. "I apologize for my student. She can be very passionate at times. I would be honoured to meet your leader and board your ship, that is...if my apprentice is allowed to join me?" she asked, casting a glance in Rey's direction. The younger woman smiled softly, seeing that Leia had clearly forgiven her little outburst, and wanted her to be a part of this.

  • Rey exhaled in purest relief. It seemed that they hadn't just accidentally started a war, which she was very grateful for. Ragnar and the others could clearly see that this has been an accident. She wished it hadn't happened, but still, no one was hurt. Upon hearing his request, Rey stammered slightly as she moved aside. "O-Oh, well...I'm not really in charge. That would be General Organa," she said, pointing in Leia's direction, who was still standing next to the frightened Rebel.

As Ragnar approached him, Leia took a step to the side but kept a close eye on things. Her intuition and foresight showed her that this was not going to end badly, but clearly their new recruit needed to be taught a lesson. There was indeed value in this mistake. The young man looked up at Ragnar as he spoke, shaking in his boots and not looking any less nervous. However, after hearing what he had to say and taking the blaster back (somewhat reluctantly), the rebel looked back and forth between Ragnar and Leia, as if expecting this to be a trap.

Leia smiled and nodded. "It's alright. Do as he says." Upon hearing that confirmation, the Rebel looked back up at Ragnar, and took a step back. He then readied his aim, keeping his wrist and elbow steady, seemingly renewed with a sense of confidence he didn't have before. Rey was still watching from the sidelines in both curiousity and concern. How did Ragnar know that blast wouldn't penetrate his armor? What if he was injured because of this? It seemed wrong, but she couldn't help but watch and wait.

The Rebel then pulled the trigger, and BAM! A clear blaster shot aimed straight at Ragnar's chest, the sound being the only one to ring out across the area. Everyone stood there frozen, straight as a board, waiting to see if he had just killed the man or not. 10973030079?profile=RESIZE_180x180

  • The tension was so thick in the air, Rey could practically feel it pressing against her skin. She felt the nervous energy of the Rebels, but Leia's confidence was still very much present, and it helped her feel calmer. The young Jedi glanced towards her General, who gave a slow, knowing nod. A look that seemed to say: "you know what to do."

Even without asking, Rey had a strong feeling that these warriors, this legion, were not a part of the First Order. In fact, their appearance and presence seemed so different and foreign that Rey was willing to bet they had never even heard of such a faction. It was like they were from an entirely different universe.

Rey would then turn to face Ragnar again, she lowered her lightsaber but did not de-activate it. "We do not wish to go to war, either. Please forgive our assumption that you were our enemy. We're a fierce, yet vulnerable group...and we've only just finished rebuilding our numbers after a devastating loss. If you promise that no harm will come to us, then we will do whatever we can to help."

Meanwhile, one of the Resistance fighters was holding their blaster with a nervous, shaking aim. This was their first encounter with a possible enemy, and they were frightened and pumped full of adrenaline. He was so nervous in fact, that he accidentally pulled the trigger and fired a blaster shot past Ragnar and towards the warriors on the other side. Luckily, because his aim had been so poor, it hit a nearby tree instead, but only a mere foot away from one of the warriors.

"Hold your fire!!" Rey shouted, glancing back towards the Rebel responsible. He looked completely mortified and sheepish, even to the point of putting his blaster on the ground to ensure it wouldn't happen again. The Jedi then looked back at Ragnar, eyes wide in fear that they had accidentally started something they couldn't get out of. "I-I apologize, sir...that was not meant to happen, I swear it." Concerned, Leia began to move through the ranks until she was now on the other side closest to Rey. She then put a hand on the shoulder of the nervous Rebel, as if to both show that she was not going to let it happen again, and to calm him down.

  • When Rey woke up that morning, she knew something wasn't right.

A strong, ominous feeling had lodged itself in her gut. This wasn't the first time she had experienced a warning from the force. At first she couldn't locate it, she couldn't tell what was wrong. All she knew was that something was off. It felt like danger was coming. As soon as she was up, Rey immediately went to go find Leia, knowing that she would also be sharing in this negative sensation. But before she could find the General, warning sirens and lights began to turn on all around the base.

Groups of Resistance fighters were running around, scrambling to find their gear and weapons. "What is it? What's going on?" Rey tried to ask people as they ran by. Finn just happened to round the corner and bump into Rey. "There's a massive ship up there, the biggest I've ever seen. They're sending troops to the base right now!" Rey widened her eyes in alarm, fearing the worst. "The First Order?"

"We don't know who it is. Leia has tried to contact the ship several times and they're not responding. We think they're gonna attack!" Rey didn't need to hear anything else. She reached for her lightsaber hilt and ran alongside Finn as they sprinted down the adjacent hallway. Out in the jungle, on the perimeter of the base, the Resistance fighters began to form a defensive line.

Compared to the men who strode towards the base, their weapons must have seemed rather primitive in comparison. All they had were simple blaster rifles, and a few thermo-detanators to go around. It was not a large force by any means, but every Rebel would fight until the end. Besides, they had the last Jedi on their side, and that had to count for something.

Before joining the squad, Rey passed by Leia and looked to her for orders. "What should I do?" she asked nervously. Leia looked worried too, but there was still an air of confidence on her features, as though she knew with certainty that everything would be okay. "Find out who they are and what they want. If they refuse to answer or leave, then we have no choice but to fight." Rey nodded, and the two women quickly exchanged 'May the force be with you' before she stepped up to the front.

Lightsaber hilt in hand, Rey ignited the weapon in a brilliant flash of blue and stood there looking towards the invaders. She could see them much better now, and knew by this point that they clearly weren't the First Order. Still, they could have been hired by them, or allied in some way. With such a powerful ship and strong warriors, it would make sense that the First Order would want them on their side.

Rey raised a hand to signal to the group not to open fire yet. She then turned back to face the warriors and spoke in a loud, clear voice. "This is Rey of the Galactic Resistance! You are trespassing on our base of operations! Identify yourself and state your intentions! If you refuse to cooperate, we'll be forced to open fire!" 10972072100?profile=RESIZE_180x180

  • [ Oh it's all good, no worries! Thanks for starting! ]

  • [ I like that idea, a civil war sounds really interesting. Maybe Russ's ship appears right above the Resistance base? And maybe they're scared at first because they think it's a First Order ship, and maybe initially there's a small fight until they realize that they're not enemies. Or something along those lines. How does that sound? ]

  • [ Oh yeah that's totally fine, no worries at all. I don't mind starting over! That sounds like a lot of fun, too. Maybe it could be in a different part of Rey's journey, after she's defeated the First Order or something like that. Aww, I'm so glad to hear you were excited haha I feel the same way. Did you have any ideas on how they could meet this time around? ]

  • [ No worries at all. Thank you so much for getting back to me, I wasn't entirely sure if you would. I'm so happy to hear you'd like to write again! My page is complete now, as you can probably tell. In terms of where to go from here, I'm not sure. I really enjoyed the last thread we created and had a lot of fun with it. But it's been so long I'm finding it difficult to remember everything that happened. I know Rey and Russ were allied and went on many adventures/battles together. They had a lot of arguments, she saved his life at one point. She met Lucia and some of his brothers. I know Ben Solo was redeemed, and I think now they're working towards snuffing out the remnants of the First Order now that their leader is gone. Oh, and I remember Russ's Father spoke to Rey at one point, at least I think that's who he was. If I'm forgetting anything else significant please let me know. I might also try to look back on your page and re-read my replies to get a better sense of what happened and where we left off. ]
