Basic Appearances (long time working on a face claim lol. i cannot draw him properly for the life of me.)

Sun-damaged skin, smile-lines, crows feet by his eyes. Greying at his hairline and scalp, but overall brownish/black hair, relatively unkempt hair. Salt-and-pepper beard. Scar on his nose, slightly lifting his right nostril. Brownish/grey eyes. Relative tall (6'4ish), fairly well built, broad shoulders with a tummy (think: bear bodied).

(i do like to picture him as a slightly older, salt-and-pepper haired Barry Sloane.)

Character Personality

Anton holds some traditional values: men are supposed to be protective and strong. He was born female, transitioned to male in his early teens (socially, not so much physically), in a fairly small village in Romania. His father died so he had to take over the role of providing seeing as his mother didn't make enough while working to be able to provide for all five of her children. Anton was the oldest, so it became his responsibility to keep up with what his father did - hunting, skinning, butchering. In his older age, he spends the time farming - sheep, goats, chickens, and rabbits.

Character Likes

Definitely a meat eater. Enjoys tea. Not much of a reader, but he does like being read to. He's a queer man, into both men and women. He doesn't like doctors. He likes dogs and has two tibetan mastiffs that live on his property in the mountains. Does also like cats, but his cat is a barn cat that just kind of appeared on his property (probably dumped there).

Character Dislikes

His dislikes mostly sit towards socializing - anything that makes him have to go into town is a nuisance for him. There are necessary evils, like selling his butchered meats or things from his small(ish) garden.

Character History/Story

Anton [Full: Anton Crina Iliescu]

Born to Ilie and Sorina [Arranged Marriage, relatively well-off families. Famine hit, their money drained. Anton was 3. His middle brother was 1.]

Since he was the oldest, his father began to take him on hunting trips. Anton was a quick learner, mostly in gutting and skinning animals they caught. He liked getting his hands dirty, but did not like killing the animals as much. He eventually got used to it.

His father got sick when he was 16. [At this point, he had three siblings to take care of, and his mother. Two younger boys, 14 and 11, and his sister, 9.] Anton took over a male role in the family. Grew incredibly comfortable in the role, and eventually began to present as a man.

Anton's father passed away. At this point, Anton was 25. [Brothers were 23, 20, and his sister was 18.] Anton's mother grew sick after this. Anton moved away, seeing as his brothers were employed, and his sister was in the process of courting a smith.

Anton moved to a different town. Eventually grew slightly vagrant—moving place to place. When he was 30, he had an odd encounter with a man in the woods—Anton had to kill the man in self defense. He ended up with incredibly nasty wounds, including a bite wound.

It took a few nights, but eventually he began the process of changing. It was painful and Anton had no idea what was wrong with him. Neither did the doctors he saw. Anton didn't fully change for four months, and when he did, it was painful and he was confused.

Took him months to get used to. He kept his schedule as normal as possible, and stuck to wandering place to place as he tried to figure out what was wrong with him.
