Imperatoris
๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ผ๐ธ๐ท๐ช๐ต๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ย โ Mephistopheles can be described in one word; Evil. He has the persona of a natural-born tactician and leader, so he has so many legions at his disposal. He is idealistic, charismatic, and malicious to those around him. But to those he deems an enemy or he despises them they will see one who is twisted, immoral, and vicious. One thing to note about him is his ideology, everything must go his way or all of it was meant for nothing. If one were to dissuade from his grand design he would become angry and ravenous.
ย
His temper can sometimes be his downfall, leading him to destroy everything in his way either to correct the mistake or restart from scratch. But once things return to his sway he becomes calm and collected, another way to put him back into his place would be none other than Lucifer himself. Though he dislikes disappointing Lucifer with his nature, Mephistopheles does like being tied down by him. Serving under someone as prideful as Lucifer made things much more interesting for the Devil. He would always stand by his side, whispering plans and secrets in his shadow to stay in his grace. His personality would be coy and strategic, always scheming and always loyal to Lucifer.ย ย
ย
Although he is loyal to Lucifer, a dark twisted obsession dwells in the mind of Mephistopheles. Though he schemes for Lucifer he also has his reason; Power. He is greedy and doesn't want to share any that he gains, which is why he always remains at Lucifer's side. He believes that one who has Lucifer shall rule all of Hell. He may be loyal but in truth, he wants to keep Lucifer close no matter what. If he had the choice he would keep Lucifer inside a cage, cut off his arms and legs, and keep him to himself. No one would speak to him, nor see him, if they tried they suffer a fate worse than death.
He keeps his desires contained, letting his charm guide him to be very persuasive to those around him. He would even gloat that even Lucifer cannot see through his poker face. Perhaps Lucifer has always known his dark desires but just kept him around because of how much use to him he was.ย

Mephistopheles - Abaddon
ย
Born in the depths of Hell, twins that share the same bloodlust crawled their way out; ravaging the nine rings until they reached limbo. Ever close to the surface but only to still remain in Hell because of the chains that keep them there. So they remained in Limbo gathering many followers as they could. The twins ruled over Limbo filling their Realm with Hatred and Chaos.ย Their power and strength did not go unnoticed, for Lucifer and his fellown Fallen Angels took interest in their strength and wits.ย
They came to the Brothers offering to keep their rule in Limbo if they were to join them to defeat the Prime Evils. Abaddon refused without even blinking an eye. However Mephistopheles was the opposite, he was interested in Lucifer's sway and display of power. He knew that this one was someone to keep close, so when the time came he convinced his brother to join with Lucifer, persuading him in his way of chaos with a promise to bring even more hatred to all Demons alike. Once the Prime Evils were defeated, the Brothers declared themselves Rulers; Abaddon would take the title of Overlord while Mephistophelesย declares himself Archdevil of Limbo.
๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ช๐น๐ธ๐ท๐ผย โ The Frigid Flame is a trident made from fire and brimstone. One of Mephistopheles' greatest
ย creations that he keeps hidden within his cane. With just one cut could burn a soul till nothing is left but ash. Those who are loyal to him and he deems as an acolyte would receive one that mirrors his own showing that they are Mephistopheles retainers.
The Grimoire, during his time he evented spellcrafts and books to influence others to his knowledge. Those who stumble upon his Grimoires would succumb to their greatest obsessions. They would slowly turn into mindless drones that he can use for his bidding. Some said that Aleister Crowley was inspired by one of Mephistopheles Grimoires to write his own share of Books including The Lesser Key of Solomon.
ย
๐๐ฌ๐ด๐ข๐ฏ๐ฐ & ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฐย โ Mephistopheles was a being impervious to the cold, not just due to having ruthlessly exposed himself to during his time in the Ninth Circle of Hell, but because of his unrivaled mastery of hellfire. A corrupt and extremely potent energy with the properties of flame, hellfire was unimaginably hot and created by tapping into and mastering the profane essence of Hell and channeling into a usable form of power. Unless he chose to repress it, his body would emanate dark flames, causing anyone who touched him, or anyone near by if he evoked into a burst around him, to be scorched by the unholy energy.
To further his mastery of fire, Mephistopheles took up the study of wizardry, specializing in evocation magic modified to taint his foes with foulest evil, with a noticeable disinterest in enchantments and illusions. Given the nature of baatezu politics, Mephistopheles rarely traveled alone, often bringing two bodyguards with him anywhere he went and able to summon a few gelugons or pit fiends, often choosing the latter, while his accompanying servitors kept the enemy busy. Given his sense of self-importance, he believed anyone who dared attack him deserved no less than utter obliteration, and so let loose a barrage of offensive magical destruction from the rear of the fight, teleporting away and leaving his allies to their fate if met with a real threat.
Though he distaste illusions, he cannot deny he fancies the ability to shapeshift into many creatures of the Night. He could even possess people with his will, making them do his every bidding as if he actually owned the body. When possessing someone he always find a way to break his vessal whether by body or soul; how he distorts the body and twisting limbs till they would no longer consider themselves human. Or make the vessel see with their own eyes as he causes chaos before them without any way to stop him.
ย
When angered his best way to solve things is to burn them alive with a simple snap of his fingers. Other times he would simply cause their bodies to slowly freeze into ice and shatter their body one limb at a time. He is very creative and is not afraid to flaunt his powers.

Character History/Story
Long ago after the Fall of Lucifer, one demon had to rise from Hell. They were clawing and crawling their way up the food chain reaching so far that it managed to get the notice of the 7 Kings of Hell. It was a fallen angel that had not yet taken shape, perhaps being torn apart after its fall from grace. Slowly but surely it began to take the shape of a proper Demon becoming stronger from the souls of the living and fighting other Demons for their power. But that was not enough to satisfy this growing demon for it was hungry for more. Although it was hungry it knew that time was the key factor to grow its status. So they waited and waited until the time finally came when The 7 Kings of Hell gathered and spoke of a way to enter the realm of the Living. This caught the Demon's attention and listened carefully to their words. The mortals found a way to summon Demons to their realm so that they could use them to do their bidding. This did not sit well with the Demon, downright angered by such notion. So they decided to do a few tests, torturing demons that were once summoned by mortals only to return after finishing their 'Master's' demand. They figured that they were summoned before, and they could be summoned again, so they made sure that once they were resummoned they would mention them to their so-called Masters so that they could try and summon them. Time has passed and the demon would grow even stronger from the souls that they collected in Hell. Finally, the demon felt a pulling sensation in their chest. They knew what it meant, they were being summoned to the mortal world. So they answered the call where he would be in the middle of a crossroads wearing a fancy red robe and a helm with horns. Taking the form of a man he gazed upon his 'Master' and greeted him as a friend. Little did anyone know that this encounter would lead to alterations between summoners and their demons. The Demon managed to trick their Master by making a contract that binds him to his will forcing him to make changes to how summoning works so that The Demons can have offerings from those that summon them; souls, worshippers, and artifacts from bygone ages in return for; knowledge, power and everlasting life. If the contract is ever broken the deal would be null and void which leads to demons claiming their souls as a token of a bad deal. This led to the demon becoming Infamous in Hell, taking the title as the King of the Crossroads, or the Crossroad demon. But all shall remember this Demon as...Mephistopheles.

Rupert & Mephistopheles
Roger - no, he was Rupert, he had always been Rupert Wilkins - blinked at Dr. Rockwood's rather long-winded and almost enthusiastically spoken response. If he was understanding correctly, the previous occupant had left their things behind and hadn't ever returned to collect them. Perhaps they were in a hurry to leave the office for reasons only God could know. Or maybe, like the psychiatrist seemed to believe, they weren't meant to be moved. So there they stood, watching over the room like the very guardian spirits they depicted. Rupert wasn't sure he could find comfort in that sentiment. Despite his Catholic upbringing, he couldn't help but find it a little unsettling.
His emerald eyes followed the doctor out of his seat and back and forth as he paced around the room. He'd lost interest in the crumpets for now, not only because he was feeling rather full but due to the way Rockwood was behaving. Rupert couldn't help but wonder if the other man was close to a breakthrough with him, or was searching for a point to prove. Exactly what it would be was beyond him and that did make him nervous.
He'd expected to be further inquired about the dreams that haunted him nightly and kept him from ever getting a decent amount of rest, but instead the topic remained on religious beliefs. Years ago, Rupert would have found the doctor's question simple to answer. Now, the lines had become a lot blurrier. "Erm, depends on what you mean, I guess. First off, I'm not as religious as I used to be. I believe in God, of course, but I'm not so close with Him like my father is. Proudest Catholic I've met, him."
Rupert rolled his shoulders in a shrug. "But none of that means I won't acknowledge or respect people's beliefs. That's just...basic human decency. But to answer the question, yeah. Lately I feel like I'm questioning everything and that doesn't stop at religion. My morality, my purpose...why I keep going on dreaming what I dream. Even my own name, which I keep getting wrong at times."
He paused, humming as he tried to think of something to ask. "Do you believe in foresight? Like, seeing things happen ahead of time?"
Roger & Mephistopheles
The scribbling on the notepad did not go unnoticed, and Roger made that clear by raising a brow slightly. It did make him wonder what sort of notes the doctor was taking, particularly because he hadn't revealed all that much about himself. Could it have been something to do with his snacking preferences? His lack of enthusiasm for cooking food himself, or the quick jump he'd made to the subject of religion? The last of which was responded to with quite an absurd answer.
Dr. Rockwood wasn't religious? Roger was careful not to waste a question with rhetoric and stayed silent but he really was surprised by it. Given his office decor, he had fully expected the man to be as interested in religion as his own father. It came as a slight comfort to him that he wasn't like his father, but all the same a little odd considering what sort of items he was surrounded by.
Roger finished his third crumpet but then paused as the question arrived. The one that he'd been dreading to hear despite the topic being the very reason he was sitting in this room.
"Ah, yeah. I dream. I dream a lot. And not about anything good, I might add." He knew that wasn't going to be the end of the discussion. It was why he'd gone after a psychiatrist, after all.
Now was his turn to inquire. Roger decided he'd keep to the same subject that he'd asked about before because curiosity was really welling up inside him now. "Did you buy these decorations for yourself?" A slight gesture was made to the War in Heaven in particular as it mystified him the most. Maybe he hadn't bought it or any of the other trinkets. Could they have been family heirlooms? Gifts from a lover or a friend during the time that, perhaps, Rockwood had practiced religion? Whatever the answer might be, Roger was very interested in hearing it.
(I am so sorry, ten thousand times sorry I had never spoken before. I'm horrible! If ya are open for a thread, I hope one of mine might catch interest? If I may suggest one, maybe Elizabeth McGuire, she's a killer and she likes it, using her badge to get prey and cover up her kills. )
When the patient started to speak to Brian, he almost couldn't believe it. Except for the screaming, she hadn't said a word to anyone this whole time, and now that she was finally speaking...nothing she said was making any sense. It was pure nonsense. Had anyone done a drug test on her? Was this a drug-induced psychosis? Brian had so many questions...
"I want to help you. Have you taken any drugs tonight? You can tell me...you won't be in trouble." Brian said, trying to reassure her as best he could, but his words didn't seem to make any impact at all. It was as if she wasn't even listening to him, or simply didn't want to...
When she began to levitate off the bed, Brian couldn't believe what he was seeing. He would not have believed it if he hadn't witnessed it with his own eyes. No one else was in this room with him, however, except for her. Would anyone ever believe him, was the question.
He didn't know what to say or do. There was definitely some supernatural force at work here, but he didn't have the slightest clue how to help her. He just stood there, frozen and silent in terror as he watched her float up into the air, singing in that haunting voice.
Only now did the right question finally come to Brian's mind. Was she possessed?
It should have been the first thing he ruled out, but he hadn't. Needless to say, he had been completely unprepared for a patient like this. He was finally able to act enough to move towards the emergency phone on the hospital room wall, but he hadn't even grabbed it when the sheet came off and the woman suddenly jumped towards him, now transformed into something that more closely resembled a demon.
He had been right all along. Why hadn't he trusted his instincts before it had been too late?
Brian gasped in surprise and tried to hold her off as best he could. He was strong, but was he strong enough to hold back a demon? Assuming this was only a demon and not something worse...
"SECURITY! HELP!!!" Brian shouted, hoping and praying that someone would hear his cries for help and come to assist him. He wasn't entirely sure if he could hold this....thing off forever. Whatever she was now, she wasn't human anymore. That much was clear.
"What are you?! What do you want?!" Brian shouted desperately, trying to do or say anything that would stop her from attacking him.
(Hello there, one last out reach if that is alright? If you have a slot open for a thread or interested in role playing feel free to respond whenever you are able. If not I completely understand and wish you the best with your stories. Thank you and have a good day/evening on whatever time you read this.)
(Alright, cool. I'm trying to think of some ideas for a story for out characters and I might have a few. I'll send you a PM and we can plot some ideas)ย
(Hello! You're character is facinating! Are you open to new threads?)
[ Thank you again for your patience. I hope this starter is good enough! ]
Unlike many of his co-workers, Brian enjoyed the night shift. It made sense; he was a kind of nocturnal animal after all. But the nights were often much quieter than the days, and more peaceful...most of the time, anyway.
Not tonight, though. Tonight was different. Around midnight, the hospital admitted a patient who although was conscious, was completely unresponsive to any of the questions the hospital staff were asking her. She was having convulsions, almost like a seizure, and yet it was unlike any kind of seizure activity Brian had ever seen before. She refused to speak to any of the staff, not even to tell them her name. The only time she would speak, would be to scream for help at the top of her lungs, before becoming silent once more.
How do you help a patient who can't tell you what's wrong? Well, you can't. All you can do is try to keep them comfortable and stable until you do find out what's wrong with them.
Once the paramedics had helped secure her in a hospital room, it was Brian's turn to check her vitals, something very routine which he had done aย million times before. As Brian checked her temperature, heart rate, and blood pressure, he wondered if this girl had any family who would come for her. He hoped so. Maybe they could provide the staff with some answers for her bizarre condition.
The girl appeared to be asleep, or at least resting for now. Brian hoped that as time went on, maybe she would eventually be able to tell them what's wrong. But for now, he kept monitoring her vitals, but couldn't ignore the fact that his keen, werewolf nose was picking up a very odd scent whenever he was near her.
He had smelled it once before when he had spoken with some...unsavoury characters. Demons, mostly. But in this case, he hoped he was wrong. God, please let him be wrong.
[ Thank you so much for your patience, my friend. I've had a string of bad luck recently, first I injured my back, and then I got sick, but I'm recovering and should be back to normal soon. I will hopefully have that starter out for you by the end of this week. Thank you again for your understanding! ]
